All positive in this review! Kay & Christian are very friendly host. Everything is what is should be as for a top B&B! The breakfast was perfect. Kay makes her specialty smoothies which I found are so delicious! We found that there are so many restaurants to pick from right outside the front door. As for our room the "... More

This was our first visit to Ghent and a colleague who lives there gave a list of hotels to try, including this one. After reading the reviews we booked it and were not disappointed. Our room was bigger than our daughters London flat, and although over looking the square and bars once you shut the bedroom door the noise disappears.... More

There really is not much to add to all the other glowing reviews of De Waterzooi. Location is perfect for exploring Ghent and the trams stop right outside the door. The accommodation is extremely well designed with an excellent lounge area for relaxing which overlooks the castle and the square below, and a bedroom at the back shut away from... More

De Waterzooi is easily the most comfortable, homelike accommodation I have enjoyed whilst traveling. Staying in the top floor apartment with two bedrooms, travelling with my husband and mother, every detail of our stay was thoughtfully addressed without our prompting. For example- the wonderful, giant tub came with a variety of bath salts and bubble bath. The cleaning staff puts... More

De Waterzooi has it all. Christian and Kay provide luxurious surroundings and a huge breakfast tailored to your tastes. The location is easy walking distance to historic sites, Gravensteen Castle is across the street, the bus stops within steps of the front door. The building is historic, with balconies overlooking breath-taking views, but there is also a little elevator, so... More

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights - mid October. We had the "Felix" room (really a suite - a living room in front, and large bedroom in back, a rear porch and a large bath). Very luxurious, superbly decorated and impeccably maintained. The term B & B may technically accurate, but this rivals deluxe hotels. The breakfasts had... More

My wife and I absolutely loved this B&B. The location is perfect for exploring Ghent. All rooms are sure to have wonderful views of the castle and city skyline. The rooms are spacious, exquisitely decorated and immaculate clean. The owners are lovely people and served us the most amazing homemade breakfast each day. This is truly the only place to... More

We had the suite/loft for three nights and really came to love staying at this lovely B&B. The owners are very nice people and fun to chat with in the mornings. They do a marvelous breakfast presentation. I would certainly recommend to anyone. It makes for a great location in exploring Ghent as well as Bruges, Brussels, or even Antwerp.

De Waterzooi is in the perfect location; right on Sint Verleplein square, across from Gravensteen Castle, a tram stop out front and within a 10 minute walk to all of the historic district. It also has the perfect accommodations; spacious 2 rooms, including coffee/tea service, refrigerator, deck, robes, super comfortable bed, nice toiletries, sound system and even an elevator if...
