This little hostellerie has only 6 rooms and is situated close to the highway E411 / A4. In an old house with a beautiful view over the Ardennes' countryside is this fabulous restaurant and lovely rooms. We stayed here one night in January. A personal welcome by the owner.He took our luggage and showed us the room.Very light,spacious and,for summers of course, a small private porch.A large bathroom with a bath / shower combination.The beds were very good. We booked a 6 course diner with specially sorted wines,a breakfast and a room for one night. Hostellerie Gilain is mentioned in the Gault Millau... more

This was a very fortunate choice for a good location for a visit to the Ardennes region of Belgium. The restaurant/hotel is operated by the owners. The husband is the chef, and his restaurant has earned a Michelin star! The 6 rooms are generous in size, very clean, nicely decorated and each has a balcony or terrace overlooking the countryside.... more
