Just 5 minutes walk from the Grand Place, the hotel was clean and the room spacious and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful including basic hot options. Help yourself tea, coffee etc suited us fine. Free Wi-Fi in the room, tea/coffee facilities and a well stocked minibar. Good sized bathroom. Everything worked! Staff were helpful too. No separate bar... More

This year Mons (Bergen in Dutch) is the Cultural Capital of Europe (together with Pilzen in the Czech Republic). The city opened some new museums and in the municipal art gallery you can find an exposition about life and work of the famous Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh while staying in the Borinage. Most of the important places to visit... More

We travel to Mons frequently and often stay at this hotel. It's located in the city centre and has nice parking - inside and on the street. (Tip: Park along the street around the hotel and you'll park for free. Park in the small lot next to the hotel and you'll have to pay during the day.) Easy walk to... More

The Mons Lido is clean, with well fitted rooms, and in an excellent position to walk into town or to the local railway station if you are looking to travel further afield. The hotel has good facilities, although some of the equipment in the fitness room does need servicing - especially the running machine. The breakfast we good, with a... More

While The Best Western Plus Hotel Lido Mons Centre is an acceptable property there were a few discrepancies. We paid 153€ for one night in an executive suite. Upon entering the room, I was surprised that it was an upgraded room. It was larger than many European hotel rooms, and it had a semi-private terrace, but the decor was ugly.... More

We stayed at this hotel earlier this month as part of a tour of Northern France and Belgium WW1 battlefields and sites. The hotel is situated close to the centre of Mons, and whilst it does not have a car park, after 18:00 car park opposite hotel is free. Rooms were clean and had recently been updated. One small disadvantage... More

we didn't at first get both of our booked rooms but in the first room we got there was a really bad smell, like mold. We saw that it had been coming water through the ceiling. Also in the dininghall at the same floor there was a bucket on the floor and above in the ceiling some waterdamage. When we... More

The hotel is ok staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are a nice size and of good quality, all have Wi-Fi. Breakfast is ok but could do with more variation as it's the same choice every day. Parking is €10 per night but it is easy to park on the street outside. It is close to the centre of... More

Ideal location to SHAPE, four miles, nice, quiet rooms, wifi worked perfectly, Breakfast was good but they could have added some vegetables in addition to the fruit. Small fitness room was barely adequate. Short walk to many restaurants in the center of town. Parking outside the hotel was easy to find.

Nice and clean hotel where we spent two nights. Smiling and efficient staff, large and well furnished room, excellent bathroom, private underground car park, fast wifi, very good breakfast. The surroundings are not very pretty but seemingly quite safe. As a matter of fact, the hotel is rather a business than a tourist hotel although Mons is a very nice... More
