When I read the reviews about this hostel I was a bit skeptical of what to expect, it mostly said to be really dirty and to avoid it if possible. However, when I got there I wasn't bad at all. Sure, it's not a luxury hotel and it could be a bit cleaner (like behind the beds) but the sheets... More

I understand that something, hotel/hostel, can be cheap cause it's not new, not stylish, with no extra services. But this one even doesn't look ok, it stinks, it's dirty and it's cold. Try something else before landing here.

We didn't pay much, and were not expecting much as a result of this. The men on reception were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is best though if you are not spending any time there other than to sleep!! Be prepared to walk up 5 flights of narrow stairs. The walls of the rooms are so thin that the... More

The room was very dirty. The towels and sheets were worn and dirty. The hostel has very narrow stairs and smells like kebab. No housekeeping at the hotel. They never change the towels and clean the room during the stay. Breakfast does not exist, but they have a kebab just below. I never asked for breakfast, but they have never... More

Do not expect top offer for this money. But if you are not too spoiled and want a room in the centre for little money, and if narrow stairs are not a problem for you than this could be good choice. The stuff persons are very kind.

The Royal Hotel (not hostel) is right opposite the big Thon Hotel on the Brussels ring road, above a Turkish take-away. Just behind the hotel is a pedestrian quarter full of interesting shops and restaurants and 100 metres away is the Rogier metro station. So you really couldn't be better located in he city. I was staying on business and... More

This is the kind of hotel you get what you pay for. Okay, the bathroom is small and the showercurtain looked a bit dirty. And breakfast is coffee, juice, bread, butter and jam. But the staff was friendly and we had a good night sleep. You can't expect luxury for that price in Brussels not far from the city centre.... More

It wasn't very clean and the bathroom looked absolutely terrible: a huge hole in the door (and I stayed with 7 other people in the room) with the appearance of a ghetto-high-school bathroom...The price is low, it's true, but you get what you pay for. Or less. I won't go back there for sure. Just search and find something else,... More
