We stayed in the hotel for only one night..but we really enjoyed the stay. the owners were super friendly and spoke very good english. The hotel has his very own charme...one of the nicest hotel i stayed in. The room was very nice and big! The breakfast was typical french. Croissant and marmelade, plus tea, coffee and orange juice...totaly fine... more

Well situated in a quiet street in Ixelles, convenient for trams and within walking distance of Matonge and the city centre. Run by a very nice couple who are friendly without being intrusive. Nicely furnished, comfortable beds, good breakfast. I'll definitely stay there again the next time I'm in Brussels. more

I considered Residence Rembrandt to be a real find in a city where accomodation has become quite expensive. It's on a quiet residential street near Place Stephanie, which is a fashionable shopping area. About 4 blocks from the Metro and 2 blocks from the 94 tram line. I did not feel unsafe walking in the area even in late evening.... more

March 2009: this was our second stay here after an absence of a few years. It was just as we remembered: a small hotel with friendly management, where you feel like a guest, not just a customer. It has great charm and character, with lots of antique pictures and furniture. It is in a quiet, convenient location, with nearby restaurants.... more

Essentially this is not a hotel but a B&B, it is a large house right off Avenue Louise a 5 minute walk from the metro, it's a great location and very cheap, I booked it directly through their website www.hotel-rembrandt.be and my room cost 45 euros a night with shower and basin but no toilet in the room (see pictures).... more

More of a guest house than a hotel, Residence Rembrandt is a brilliant bargain in a very expensive city. Don't go expecting big hotel amenities - this is a one star and many of the rooms don't have a private loo. This is my second stay at this hotel. It's off the Avenue Louise in Ixelles, not far from the Louise metro station. There are a variety of rooms to choose from, the cheapest being 45 euros with double bed, shower and shared toilet. That price also gets you a nice breakfast (rolls, croissant, coffee and fresh OJ).
