La Casa BXL is in a fantastic location within walking distance of all the best areas of Brussels. The booking process was easy and correspondence with David was a pleasure. We didn't see him again after he let us in, but that was fine as we had keys and could come and go as we pleased! The room itself was... More

We were given the keys by the hotel owner (we presume) then never saw him again! We just let ourselves in and out of the hotel (with the keys) whenever we pleased, which gave us flexibility. The room was attractively decorated with a kind of Turkish theme and nice antique touches. There was a communal kitchen with microwave, toaster, coffee... More

We have stayed here for no less than 6 weeks (work and holiday in Brussels). Are from Brussels, same neighbourhood (the very centre of the city), and needed a place to stay now that we live abroad. After previous missions and having stayed in top places (ao The Dominican), this B&B really beats it: excellent location, excellent value, beautiful spacious... More

We read the previous reviews and although we agree with some of the negative comments (the neighbourhood has lots of nightlife and hence it can get noisy with drunk people on the street, the breakfast area is quite small and only has 5 tables), we feel the positive far outweighs the negative. Firstly the room was spacious, modern and clean.... More

We thought we had reserved at the Downtown BXL property (118 rue du Marche au Charbon, right beside La Casa BXL) but we were directed next door to La Casa BXL. The room we stayed in (medina room) was nice, clean and spacious. Staff was very nice and breakfast was good. Breakfast was served next door. No air conditioning so... More

Management response:

We are very sorry for the misunderstanding about the booking at Downtown instead of LaCasa, but remember that it was after a change in your dates that we had availability only at LaCasa and when we informed you about this (6th Aug) you specifically showed us no preference for one b&b or the other, which we assumed as an approbation.... Location is close to the historic city center and the suite was beautifully renovated, but the neighborhood has homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks and panhandling in area around the B&B. There is a bar just below the suite accommodation, which is very noisy until the wee hours of the morning. The bathroom for the suite does not have a... More

Management response:

Thanks for your review. I would like to point out that we are not "close to the historical center" but right in the historical center at 300 m from the Grand Place and the Manneken Pis... In Brussels as in most city centers there are indeed homeless people –unfortunately this exists in our society - but they are not on... More

We just spent the Easter weekend at La Casa and we loved it. The location couldn't be better, right in the city centre. Very charming house, decorated with a lot of style. The hosts are great, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very good: orange juice, cereals, coffee/tea/chocolate, wonderfull fresh bread, fresh fruit. As we wanted to sleep late, we... More

I had made a reservation on Lacasa on the Jan. I even got successfual reservation email to comfirm my room. Today I sent a email to double comfirm my reservation. They said my reservation fail. They olny said no room for me & no any explanation. Nothing worse than that they forged the email to make me believe it's my... More

La Casa was a good place to stay, close to the Grand Place and Mannekin Pis, among other sites. The neighbourhood surprisingly seemed a little sketchy, but for only for a street or two. The rest of the area was great and offered plenty of selection for food. Room was large and fairly clean, although the cleaning of the sheets... More
