I should start by saying that I always stay here when I'm in Brussels and am never dissappointed. I know the rooms aren't the largest and I'm sure to find some cobwebs hidden behind the tv but it has a great location, the bathrooms are clean and well stocked and the breakfast is perfect for me after a night enjoying... more

Stayed for two nights in the Hotel de la Madeleine on a business trip. Location is fantastic and previous reviews about the noisy shaft at the back of the hotel are correct. However this hotel needs a serious makeover and the three rooms my two colleagues and I had were just awful. The reception area and breakfast area are typical... more

Decent hotel. The rooms are a fine size and it was very clean for our stay. The room was cleaned on our second day of our stay (which I wasn't expecting). The location is very in the middle of things - which we liked, but it did get pretty noisy at night - so if you can't sleep through that... more

My experience was good at this hotel. Walking distance to the train station and walk to everything. We didn't have a map and just went downstairs and walked around blindly and found all the famous spots found in the tour book. There were so much to eat and shop and see. The hotel was clean and the free breakfast was... more

My only complaint is that a lot of the rooms have a window which opens onto a shaft shared by about 16 rooms. As there is no aircon, it's too stuff to shut the windows, and there was loud drunken chatter both nights at about 3am. The staff said I should have phoned them to complain, but I think they... more

This is a very nice, basic hotel, just a short walk from the train station. It is a 5-minute walk from Grande Place and is close to shopping, restaurants and all the sights. I was very impressed by the staff at the Front Desk, they were very helpful and welcoming. This is not a five-star hotel, but if you are... more

This hotel has a great location but is very dated. The only saving grace was the big bathtub with plenty of hot water. Getting out of bed was difficult as it was more of a mattress on the floor than a bed. The rooms were very basic with very basic amenities. For $20.00 more per night I would recommend someplace... more

I expected this hotel to be bad after the experience in the paris hotel (Apollo Hotel) and was hoping the hotel to be better. Surprising, the exterior look decent and we were warmly welcome by the receptionist. We were allowed to put our bags behind because we were too early. It took us quite some time to find our room... more
