This has to be one of the worst hostels i have stayed in throughout Europe. The rooms were cold and unclean. The staff were so rude and treated you like dirt. Free breakfast which was awful. I dont know how these places attract people to stay. Maybe desperate people stay here as a last resort. Just awful. more

Nice clean front desk, bar and breakfast areas. Friendly staff and decent breakfasts if you aren't picky, I enjoyed it. Clean room and blankets. Dingy toilets and frustrating showers, highly suggest shower shoes. Power issues at some times, without power in the room/on the floor for quite some time. I stayed one night at Van Gogh. Good location (close to the metro station but 20 min walk from train station), very quiet and nice place. Breakfast is good and staff very helpful. There is a big kitchen and washing machines. Positive atmosphere. Rooms are ok. I highly recommend it for the low price. more

I stayed over night at Van Gogh, and for that, it served well. It was clean and fairly well located, and the staff was pleasant and accomodating. The beds weren't terribly comfortable, and well into the night, you could hear other people in the hostel hanging out, making noise.
