I have to say, the place, the rooms, bathrooms, etc, are normal. But the breakfast is so complete. You can eat whatever you want and fill your bottles with orange juice (if they dont see you hehe) but very good really. I was 2 nigts and very good place. Recomended

We arrived at Brussels-Midi station (what appeared to be the main station in the city) and soon realised that the hostel was a long distance away, yet on our return journey realised that it was only a few roads required to get to it, so a relatively easy find. A tiring walk for backpackers with big bags. However, it lacked... More

I went there just for one night and I would not have stayed another one. The rooms are clean but not the bathrooms. Only one girl of the staff was welcoming, the others were almost rude. Breakfast is ok. It is ok for one night but not for more.

We were positively surprised by the professional reception. Free lockers, free wifi. Free breakfast, was a bit prison-like, but okay, with too sweet food for a non-continental. Keycards for the rooms. Friendly staff. Kitchen has almost nothing to cook with. A breadslice portion of butter and a swiss army knife saved our meal.. Okay for frozen pizzas, though.. Overall happy... More

Staying at this hostel was one of the worst experiences of my life. We stayed 2 night in a twin private (with shared bathrooms) and two more in a triple ensuite room. The twin room was awful and the shower-bathroom facilities so greasy and disgusting, even the floor was ready to collapse. Plus there were some high school students staying... More

Average hostel. Places to store your things safely, working shower facilities. Rooms were a little cramped and musty, but bedding was clean and fresh. Breakfast included. About the only major downside is that it is a 30 minute walk from the city centre. Wifi does not work in rooms.

20 minutes after check in we asked for a refund and booked somewhere else. I booked this place thinking it would be just the same as every hostel at this rate and boy was I wrong. The "prison cell' comments on other reviews are spot on. After checking in we were told our room was actually across the street and... More

I have been here in january 2015, and I didn't like this place. The price is really hight for an hostel, in this condition and position. We took a double room with two beds, or better two camp beds, the mattress were 5 cm wide and the room was furnished with the minimum required (no desk, no wardrobe). When we... More

I stayed there for two nights in a single room. The room had as much charm as a prison cell. A bed a sink and a chair. no picture on the wall, nothing. The rest of the building was the same, no charm nothing but that also included dirt. There was none it was very clean. Besides that it was... More

The Van Gogh hostel had all the promise of a quirky little hostel, looked friendly and welcoming, with a great atmosphere. However, it was vastly overpriced. I knew this before we arrived as we booked 2 beds in a 4 bed dorm, for the same price as a 2 bed private room in Bruges! We arrived in Brussels on a... More
