Stayed here for 4 nights in May. Average hostel, 10 minute walk from the centre. We enjoyed the free breakfast and wifi. Brussels was a disappointment for the 'Capital of Europe', the best part was Mini Europe.

Staff was extremely hospitable. We arrived before our check in time and they allowed us to store our bags shower and eat the complimentary breakfast. Nice open common room. I would definitely recommend to stay here!

Our room literally stank when we walked in, so had to leave the windows open all the time. Stayed up on the fourth floor, no elevator eother. It was a 6 person dorm with three bunk beds, and hardly any room to move around or put our packs and things anywhere. No lockers in the room. The sink looked like... More

Description for Building 13, four person room -Two plugs for charging in a four person room -NO LOCKERS IN ROOM -No bathroom in room -Creepy alley location through a very questionable route. The walk from the train station to the hostel is not something I can recommend. All the walls of the alley where the hostel is are covered with... More

This place was clean enough to keep me satisfied. The staff wasn't as friendly as other hostels I've been too. The location is about a 10 minute walk to the city.. which doesn't sound bad but it's about 30 minutes to the center of the city and 50 minutes to the opposite side of the city. It's definitely do-able for... More

The hostel is divide in two building so maybe there are some differences between them. Mine was the building 13 without reception. The room was't very clean but it was okay (check the number of the bed!) one cons was that there were no lockers in my room but many advice to pay attention to theft. In fact the lockers... More

We stayed as a group of 26 University students, for 5 nights. Pros: - Has a great lounge area, to hang out. - It has a bar with fairly cheap beer. -Meeting rooms (great for school groups). -Really close to the Carrefour supermarket and great kebab places, also close to the metro. -Most of us slept well in decent beds... Terrible, it has been 4 days of problems. The room for 8 people must be sold at 10€: it’s almost for 6 people, not for 8. Furthermore you have no place to put your staff, we use beds’ structures to hold our jackets. But not’s the big problem: we have the room in the garden so if you need to... More

I was in Van Godh hostel for 2 nights in ensuite room. Staff was nice, price ok, breakfast ok. location ok. The only 2 flaws were : not really hot water and ash in our room. For the rest, it is a nice place! You can't expect services like a real hotel! for example shampoo, shower gel etc! Don't forget... More

Middle-sized hostel with both dorms and singles, quite clean, with not-too-noisy guests. Fairly convenient location wrt both the underground and the rail to the airport. Staff quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nothing to write home about, but the dining space is quite ok. Very simple, basic room, lacking atmosphere but ok just for the night.
