Stayed there for two nights. At 15-20 min walk from the center of the city. I asked for a quiet room, as read in the previous comments, but also got a room facing the street. Friday night was veeeery noisy, was there a bar or a club near the hotel? We could hear people shouting out loud, several times during... More

Loud -- from noise within and lots of noise without. Asked for a quiet room in advance, and got one facing the street. Construction workers did the rest of the work by blasting music from early in the morning. The room was in the building across from the main hotel, which was dirty and run-down. The TV didn't work. Wi-Fi... More

Stayed here in September for two nights. The rooms are basic, just clean sheets and a TV: No air conditioning though the windows open. The breakfast was average. Advantage is its location in town and walking distance from the Madou station. The receptionist could do with an attitude check!

I stayed here on business in order to be close to the meeting place, for a special offer of under 60EUR/night, so my expectations were very low - and I was truly surprised. The hotel interior was exceptionally beautiful, with lovely antique details, and the service was impeccable. I would love to stay here again and strongly recommend it, especially... More

This is one of my first reviews since I do not usually write about the hotels I stay in, even though I travel quite often. However this time I feel that I ought to write something about Hotel du Congres! This is one of the most unpleasant hotels I ever stayed in and I need to let everyone know what... More

Brussels can be terrible expensive during certain periods. I stayed in this hotel in August for two nights and only paid EUR 54 per night for a double room. It must have been a quite period as I found this a very good deal. Given the room rate, I had not very high expectations. The room I had was indeed... More

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at this hotel as I'd paid less than 50GBP a night for it through Expedia and wasn't quite sure what to expect. The hotel is very well located with the Madou metro station at one end of the street. It's about a 15 minute walk to the city centre and probably slightly less... More

Stayed in the "Madou" building of the hotel, across the street from the lobby. the four person room was basic but roomy. Slightly warm (no airconditioning) but the windows could be opened. Television worked, had two electricity sockets in the room and plenty of lights. The bed linen was basic and clean and the bathroom was also clean and well... More

Stayed in a twin room with a friend for only one night. Room was basically furnished and simple but wasn't cleaned well as there were hairs everywhere in the bathroom. Other than that, location was quite convenient and within walking distance to a lot of attractions.

This is not a fancy place. It's a hotel where we stayed at as students on a university trip. But it was perfect for our needs. It's basic, but very clean. Has excellent quality wifi. And a really really friendly staff. I had some assignments to work on while on the trip, so I was up one whole night working... More
