The building is highly outdated, possibly untouched for at least 30 years, the rooms were just about clean, towels were supplied plus a single bar of soap, nothing else. Beds were reasonably comfortable, rooms were fairly sized, carpets had a lot of stains and the balcony doors didn't lock properly. There was an old CRT TV although this was never... More

We were in a horrible situation while on a day trip to Brussels where the English Channel was closed and we couldn't return to London so we were forced to stay in Brussels for the night. This hotel was the only reasonably priced one to be found. We arrived and the man at the desk was very rude to me.... More

Booked this hotel very last minute as part of a Eurotrip. Arrived at reception only to stand there for about 10 minutes whilst the man on reception completely ignored us. Eventually we were spoken to and given our room key. As we had heavy bags we were shown to an old creaky lift and left to find our room. Upon... More

Stayed in this hotel as part of a university trip. As others have said, the place is quite dingy, unkempt and dated. Our room, which I shared with 3 others, had a view that faced inward to what can only be described as a concrete well. Again, as some have said, I can imagine it was very nice and posh... More

If one word sums up this hotel its "Dated". The lifts feel like they were last maintained in 1980 odd and the interior looks like it last had a face lift in the 1920s. My room had ripped curtains and a shower which was virtually impossible to work. Very dark room with windows facing onto a interior dirty courtyard which... More

The Hotel Manhattan had extremely dated decor, finishings and a dark interior. The rooms smell of smoke and the breakfast is acceptable. Unfortunately it is not great and the price definitely does not reflect the bad quality of stay! It is in quite a good area though, with the town square just a 10 minute walk! If you are looking... Hotel is very old and the items that includes, like bathroom towels, bad (falling apart), mold in bathroom and dust on everything. The service is AWFUL. Especially the night-shift (fat, old, bald Monsieur) he is very arrogant and rude. My group was denied access at 3 am. because we were loudly in front of the hotel, from his point of... More

Stayed in this hotel as I had gone with University to visit Belgium. The hotel is located in near center of Brussels and hardly a 5 minute walk to the Grand Palace Belgium and many places are just so close by. The rooms were just decent enough. The hotel i believe is pretty old with very old elevators in it... More
