The day before flying home to Oz, a friend and I decided to book a room in the centre of Brussels to enjoy the evening without taking a long trek back to where we'd been staying previously. We booked a room at Hotel Floris, quite cheaply. There was initially some confusion to where exactly we were meant to check in... more

My mother and her friend booked through Cresta to stay at this three star superior hotel... 1Exterior of hotel littered with graffiti. 2Window boxes full of dead flowers. 3Inside reception, lights taped off or bulbs dead. 4Notice on the door stating no reception at hotel, check in for this hotel at another hotel. 5No personnel on site at Floris Grand... more

When we arrived we found the notice on the door: The reception was at another hotel, 120 metres away. So, no reception, no breakfast (you have to go, in the morning, to the 7th floor of the other hotel). And, surprise, surprise, a very cold room (no 42), not suitable for anyone higher than 1.65 cm and no hot water... more

Very good Location but when we arrived there was a notice on the windows to say that the check in was in a "different hotel " named "harlequin" so we had to find it then we were told that there was no reception at the " Floris Grand Place" and that the breakfast would be at the " harlequin hotel"... more

Could do with some major updating (or at least a fresh coat of paint). This is really an annex to the Hotel Arlequin which is about 100 metres away - and where you check in and out. Rooms are ok but fairly basic and my bathroom, while quite spacious (bath and separate shower) was quite dingy with mould on the... more

This hotel is centrally located( a few steps off the Grand Place) and near many good eateries and shops. We would have been very happy with our choice except that the room was poorly kept. Our room was on 4th floor(top flr) and had old world character with the exposed wood beams. The bed could have benefited from a fresh... more

Expensive for what it is. First of all you check in in another hotel/another street. there is no reception. Room are very big and very spacious. Great location. Bathroom was dirty/paint peeling off..etc for 130 pounds a night...that's pushing it... 2 bars in the same street, le cercueil(the coffin) where you can drink beers in a cave...on coffins. Great Barman... more

Staying here was not a good experience. Room was dark and dingy. Window looked out on an air shaft. The paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom and an electric outlet was falling out of the wall. The lighting was so dim that you could not read and the lamp shades were burned by the light bulbs. There... more

An excellent location right in the heart of the city - the Grote Markt is a mere twenty paces away. Aside being so near to what is, for us, the most beautiful city square in Europe, it's ideally situated if your main reason for the trip is to go to a performance at the opera house (La Monnaie/De Munt). We... more
