I was there in February for 2 nights. The place is really in the centre of town, walking distance from everything including the EU offices. I did not have the chance to meet the wife of the owner as she was away but the owner himself was a wonderful person, helpful, knowledgable and interesting. He was able to give me... More

My partner and I were lucky enough to stay in Pascal and Akemi's guesthouse for 2 nights in June 2014. The location of this guesthouse is perfect, close enough to the attractions but also in a quiet street. The room is very comfy and clean, with lots of homely charm. Pascal is a wonderful host! He was incredibly generous with... More

All of the good reviews are true. The hosts, Pascal and Akemi, are lovely people and very knowledgeable about Brussels and other cities. Pascal chatted with us at breakfast about our plans for the day, and if he couldn't answer a question (which was rare), he would look up the answer. We also appreciate that he called in French to... First off, let me make clear that this is not a hotel, it is a guest house, so do not expect a hotel. The experience is like staying at a friend's house, which for me was a very pleasant surprise! The room was very spacious and very clean. It did not have a TV but that did not bother me... More

As experienced travelers my wife & I truly enjoyed the unique ambiance created by Pascal and Akemi. You are literally given the keys to their home's top floor - a charming historic and spacious suite consisting of an oversized bedroom and a modernized large master bath. We've traveled a lot in Europe and have never had accommodations quite like this,... More

It was a pleasure staying at the Carmelite Guesthouse! Pascal was a great host and he gave us a lot of information regarding where to go and what to do in Brussels. The apartment was new and in a great location, very near to the Manneken Pis statue. A great breakfast was provided for us each morning along with great... More

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon recently. We have never stayed in a guesthouse/ B&B before, so we were nervous about what to expect. However, we had an amazing time! They are centrally located so you can really walk to everything. Pascal and Akemi did an excellent job helping us to feel welcome in the home. Breakfast... More

Two steps away from the gurgle and gaggle of Grand Place and Manikin Pis, but down a quiet side street, nestled in a quaint old Flemish townhouse with steep winding steps and a cozy feel, the Carmelite Guesthouse is pretty close to my ideal accommodation. There's just one room to let, so it's you and your hosts, which in the... More

We have just stayed for four nights at Carmelites guest house. What a wonderful experience. I highly suggest any one going to Brussels stay at this wonderful place. The room is spacious clean and beautifully appointed. The most comfortable stay I have ever had anywhere in Europe. You are nestled up under the eaves and when it rains it is... More
