My girlfriend and I stopped off in Brussels on the way back from Amsterdam on a road trip back in February 2014. We were only there 1 night and so wanted a hotel with a good location. The Astrid was probably the best value hotel I found and so made a booking. Considering the price I paid, I have no... More

Travelling on business, this hotel was booked for me by others and, immediately upon my return, I'll be asking them to strike it from their list. Why? Because whilst it's all relative, it's not appropriate for business travellers. It's tired, it's dark, it's dingy, Wifi costs extra and therefore it's totally uninspiring. The walls are all beige and magnolia and... More

The hotel was clean, and that is the most important thing for me. the beds were comfortable, as well as the pillows. the location was not bad, close to most attractions in the city. the staff were ok, but they should smile a bit to make the visitors feel welcome. breakfast had very limited selection and was exactly the same... Reasonable walking distance to market square and interesting restaurants. But first block or two around hotel were a little creepy. Loud late night bar across the street. Free wifi in lobby only. Must leave room key at desk any time you leave hotel. Inconsistent service at front desk, most staffers were pleasant, nice and helpful. While one evening staff guy... More

This Hotel its ok, with friendly staff, rooms with nice areas but not impresses. With some extra details, it could be so much more.. The lobby is very dark and depressing, the breakfast room, is not well decorated and the details are poor. Pros: Its well located, in a walkable distance to the city center, only a few blocks.. The... More

Went there on business for one night. Small stuffy rooms, strange musty smell and the staff weren't really helpful. Apart from the night guy. He was cool. The location is really good and quite central though. Needs refurbishment. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

I've never had such terrible service. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I could not get the key to my room to work so I asked the gentleman at the front desk to help me. He stated he could not leave the desk. Apparently there is only one person who works at the hotel. After about 20 min of... More

We stayed in the hotel for a couple of days. Never had such bad nights of sleep in a hotel ever. The rooms were nowhere near soundproof. You could actually hear people talk outside (even though the room was on the 4th floor), and since the hotel is located next to a club, there was screaming outside the hotel all... More
