The only good thing in this hotel is the breakfast buffet. The room is run down and feels really dirty. No air, just a cheap little fan with a set up that looks really dangerous. The worst mattress I've ever experienced. Lumpy is generous. more

The area is noisy, internet access is extorsionate expensive, the restaurant offer good food but is quite expensive and you have to wait ages for each dish. more

First of all, never ever book a hotel from OTEL.COM. Found a dirty, smelly room in old portion of hotel vendome, which was described as a 4 star hotel. After complaining and arguing for hours, otel.com agreed to refund my money; and I moved to another hotel. It hasn't kept its word. Call centres are based in Manila! more

Spent one night in hotel. Found staff very helpful and they spoke English very well. Provided us with train info to Ghent. Room was basic but very clean and included all of essentials. We had room in old wing on third floor, in back, so noise not a problem. Room was quite warm, but could open window and fan was... more

Don't be fooled by the reception area - the refurb makes it look amazing but the rooms are terrible. I booked with Hotelclub who I have used for at least 10 other city breaks and this is the worst hotel I have stayed in. The rooms are scruffy, dirty and cheap! Lack of little extras like a few toiletries are... more

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. I am shocked by the negative reviews that have been left as I have nothing other than praise for the hotel. It is a 3 star hotel so been realistic all I was looking for was a clean room and shower nothing too fancy but... more

I was just at this hotel and it called itself the "Marivaux", although the Vendome name was there as well. It is definitely the same property at the same street address however so perhaps they are changing the name to get away from the previous bad press or something like that. I was there for two days for a business... more

Do not book a room at this hotel it "says" it's a three star, it's a 0 star and not worth the money or effort of finding it. No one knew where this hotel was; now I see why. The rooms we had were atrocious, they were disgusting, dirty, they didn't want to give towels, the air conditioning did not... more
