We stayed at this hotel, December 11, 2014. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a great location, but very poor access. You have to walk and carry your luggage there. There is no automobile access. We were not welcomed upon arrival. The man gave us our key and did not have anything to say. The hallways... More

I don't usually write a long review, but this place deserves one. The only good thing that I can say about this hovel...errrr I mean hotel, is the location. Upon arrival, we were received by an old, bare footed woman who was probably having a bad day. English language was poor and I eventually found that she was telling us... More

This hotel is only 200 metres from the Grand place and central for all the attractions in central Brussels. There was a warm welcome although only the owner speaks English all the other other staff speak French but that is not a barrier to using this hotel. The hotel is in need of renovation and has a real 70s feel... More

If you are searching for cheap hotel with good location, that's the place. The stuff there could be a lit bit more friendly and welcoming. However, as the price is lower don't expect a perfect quality of the rooms as well as breakfast. But as I said the location is perfect and if you are planning just to sleep at... More

Positive: It has a great location (2min from Grand Place), sheets looked clean. Negative: We got the 4 pers room and the bed upstairs had really bad lightning and the stairs looked shabby. The window opened to an interior court and could not keep it opened during the night. The entire hotel smells of food during dinner, even on top... More

Matignon is a perfect and relatively cheap choice for a weekend trip to Brussels even for families with children like us. Grand Place is just a 1 minute walking distance so narrow cobbled streets start right at the hotel. High quality public transport supports and ensures travelling quickly all over the city without needing to drive a car. We had... More

Well located in tourist area near Grand Place with bars and restaurants all around. But my single room was very shabby, no proper shower over the bath and no wifi in rooms (just in lobby). Room was dominated by massive plasma tv which may be a plus to some.

I stayed in Brussels for one night in this hotel. The location is great, right in the middle of the touristic interesting part of Brussels. The rooms itself are okay, quiet large, mine had a second floor where the big bed was positioned, bathroom and couch were on the ground level. The furniture is quiet old and falls apart when... Stayed here recently for a football match in Heysel. A low budget hotel based very close to Grand Place. Good value for what we paid. Rooms are functional more than luxurious but more than adequate if you just require a base for your stay in Brussels. For some reason, shower fixings are not fixed to wall so you need to... More
