I stayed at the Stanhope for 4 nights-- as a first-time visitor to Belgium, I was using Brussels as my base, exploring the city and also hopping on Thalys and local trains for day trips. I loved the quiet location, which was just a quick walk to the Grand Place or Grand Sablon antique area. The train was right nearby... More

Stanhope is a classic hotel. Nothing more, nothing less. I was surprised to realize that it was actually quite a big hotel - when on the street it looks small and compact but later I learned that it actually offers a great variety of rooms. My rooms was facing the inner yard whose garden looks realy romantic in the evenings... More

My grandmother said always said that if you don't have anything nice to say about someone, stay silent. In this case, since it's a hotel I'm writing about, I won't. Stanhope Hotel is greatly situated close to the EU quarters of Brussels. The hotel feels a bit dated and will need a renovation in about five years. Staff are friendly... More

Just for a nice week end, an opportunity to discover a true boutique-feel hotel at an attractive price. In the week, this hotel is probably packed with busy business men and during the week end it transforms in a relaxing boutique-feel hotel in a very convenient location. The breakfast is by far the best I had in any hotels in... More

Stanhope Hotel is a nice 5-star hotel in the heart of the "European capital" of Brussels. They market themselves with their security and their effort for their customers best. But after this week's own experienced event I would like to warn others. They do not care about their guests when something unpleasant occurs. They take no responsibility for what happens... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from10th - 13th October. The hotel is lovely very peaceful a little oasis. The greeting from the staff was exceptional and very efficient nothing was too much trouble, we were given a complimentary glass of champagne which was a pleasant touch. We had a room on the 5th floor with a sitting... More

What a delight to stay in such a vintage, beautiful hotel. The lobby and dining areas were so elegant and our room was beyond compare. Beautifully draped and matched material gathered above our bed was so pretty. I took pictures of it before we even settled in for a wonderful romantic visit! The front desk staff was so helpful in... I am coming to Brussels often for work and this time is one of the very few that i am actually enjoying the stay. Stanhope is a boutique hotel at a great location. The rooms are classy, stuff is very friendly and the breakfast is excellent. Now, what makes it stand out for me personally: 1. there are smoking rooms,... More

Slightly different and iconic, the Stanhope is always a pleasure to stay in. Food is excellent, good function rooms and convenient location. My room had a mezzanine bedroom and was fine except no kettle, tea or coffee.

After traveling 4 months, my last two nights were spent in this delightful hotel.Love the small beautifully appointed room with separate sitting area, the quaint hallways that wind to your room. But it is the staff that is beyond parallel: reception, guest services, doorman, all fantastic, thoughtful. But my very favorite, hard to be above in this environment, is the maitre de...
