The Hotel Opera in brussels couldn't be more centrally located. The rooms are basic, but clean - and have reasonable bathrooms. If you're looking for a cheap stay in Central Brussels and want a private room, you could do worse.

I really loved the location and how easy it was to use as my home base for seeing the city. The people at the front desk were courteous and very helpful. Breakfast in the morning was simple but good. The rooms were nice but a bit small. The room I had faced the street and it could get noisy especially... More

Stayed one night and arrived late and left early. Booked and then read some reviews that this hotel was unsafe and a dump. Its very centrally located in the centre of town near to the Grand Place. On a busy pedestrian street and there was noisy bars all around and noise till the early hours. Some may call it vibrant... More

I used to stay in Hotel Opera every time I was in Brussels in the early 2000s. I was delighted to come back and find the hotel still being excellent value for money, as it is right in the middle of Brussels and you have public transport (Metro, trains, etc) within 3 minutes walk. The free WiFi enabled me to... More

Booked this for a one-night business trip because of the hotel's location, and thought "how bad can it be?" Well, really bad, it turns out. The hotel would be acceptable if it was a €30/room hostel, but as a €100/night *hotel* it is completely unacceptable. The whole place needs to be renovated, and preferably get new management. The downstairs area... More

The hotel is very well located, the staff is friendly, the breakfast was ok. I think that the location of the hotel is the best, it's close to the subway (so you can go and visit other parts of the city) and it's in the center. Ci è piaciuto molto questo hotel, è vicinissimo alla metropolitana e al centro. La... More

This small Hotel is ideal for a short break stay in Brussels - being so central. Less than 5 minutes to the Grand Place, yet only one block back from the Metro services on Boulevard Anspach. Staff are pleasant and welcoming. Speak to Reception to get their best prices - it is EXTREMELY reasonable. Taxi from/to Eurostar about E10. We... More

This hotel is old and dirty. Rooms urgently need to be refurnished especially the beds. Linens were burned out by cigarettes although it was a non-smoking room. The floor was so bumpy that I slipped several times. Breakfast was poor only one type of ham was available. The coffee machine could give only one type of double espresso regardless what... More

First stayed in this hotel in the early 1990's and it is fair to say nothing much has changed. The location is perfect - a minute from the Grand Place, 2 minutes to St Katherine, 10 minutes to the railway station and a whole host of restaurants literally on the doorstep. The rooms are clean but minimal though the beds... More

This hotel is a few blocks from Grand Place. It has seen better days as the carpet is well worn as are the bed linens and bath linens. Minimal furniture, tiny room, hard bed. Breakfast was sparse as well. I can say I will seek other accommodations on my next visit to Brussels.
