We stayed at the Grand Sablon for 4 nights from 8th August and had a perfect stay. A problem with our Eurostar booking was sorted immediately and an extra bed put in one of our rooms. The staff were always courteous, polite and extremely helpful. We had 2 deluxe rooms and when one developed a massive leak on our first... More

I've stayed in this hotel before when it was the "Jolly." Place Sablon is a great location. The hotel has many pluses -- good breakfast, great location, helpful staff. But it also has some minuses -- it's getting old and worn, it's noisy, especially in the summer when the air conditioning means opening a window, the WiFi is creaky and... More

What a gem! The street has many fine/ top cafes, patisseries, eateries etc so location is a real strong point (it is a 12euro fare from Gare Midi for eurostar arrivals). Ideal to mix some hotel breakfasts with what is available on the doorstep too because the hotel brek is a treat: really great range including rare hot range aswell... More

The hotel is placed in a smart area of Brussels centrum, permitting to reach after a few minutes walk, not only the Royal Palace, the Museums Hill and the Grand Place, but also the top shopping area of Louise Square and the Central Railways Station. The breakfast buffet is complete, rooms are quiet and clean and the lobby is wide... More

We paid 3 times as much for a hotel in Amsterdam on our way to the hotel so the comparison was very immediate. My wife, kids and myself loved the hotel and its location. In fact its in a very nice location so eateries in the plaza are just higher quality and higher priced than the average restaurants in Brussels.... More

The hotel is centrally located and very close to the Central station - so most places were within walking distance. Very friendly and cordial staff. The room was nice and clean. There are many restaurants around the hotel for a quick bite too.

This hotel does not allow its guests to exchange money at the front desk although we have informed them that all exchange offices are closed!! There is no 24 hour room service!!! I wouldn't recommend!

My husband and I stayed in this hotel on Sunday 13th July for one night. Thank god it was for one night as would not have stayed here another night. This was the first night of our cycling holiday from Brussels to Bruges. We checked in on Sunday evening and we asked had our bikes arrived at the hotel. The... More

apparently there are different categories of the rooms of the same standard and price - I had the bad luck to get the room that was trully falling apart (5th or 6th floor). The bath was full of mold, there was mold in the mini bar that was also horribly stinking. The mattress felt and looked like from before the... More

Went to Brussels with my daughter for our annual European break. Used the train from the airport into Brussels Central without any difficulty. Takes approx. 20 mins and costs less than 10 euros pp. Found the hotel eventually after a few wrong turns. Only 10 mins from station and no problems once you know where it is. Used the train... More
