The hotel is a lovely little hotel, 5 Mins forom the eurostar station, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was large and the beds were very comformable, the bathroom could have done with a bit of a update, the hotel overall was clean and modern, it took as about 15 mins to walk into the centre. Wouldnt... more

An all-round appalling experience at this hotel. We had left booking our hotel for Easter 2009 a bit late and, hoping that the poor reviews we'd read had been too harsh, we decided the location and the offer of parking was not bad for the price and chose the Floris Ustel. Not a good decision. Upon arrival by car the... more

Stayed at the Ustel for 2 nights as part of a weekend away. I didn't have high expectations for £40/night, but expected things to be at least functional, if a little basic. Check-in was fine, however the lift didn't work, and the room was faded but functional and very warm, but nothing the air conditioning couldn't resolve. In the morning... more

As soon as we arrived in the hotel we where disappointed. Staff were the rudest people you could ever ask for, no help and no interest in your needs. When I complained about the false advertisement about the hotel, i got told that it was not their fault as the website had no been updated. No restaurant , no bar,... more

We stayed at the Ustel because it was part of a Eurostar package, and availability of rail-only deals was poor. I was most dismayed to read some of the comments. It is true the Ustel is fairly basic. But we were paying less than at a UK travelodge so we did not expect luxury. The hotel is near Midi station,... more

The staff were unhelpfull, the shower didn't work, no tea or coffee making facilities and no way of getting drinks at the hotel bar. The breakfast is rolls and cold ham. The rooms have massive beds and wardrobes but no walking space, the shower was broken and had mould every were. When I made a complaint I was told that... more

I too wished I would have read the reviews here before. This is the first ever time in more than 10 years travelling that I write a review. To put it simply, the hotel is dirty, the floors haven't been cleaned (which showed when I moved my table in the bedroom). It is terribly old and I constantly felt uncomfortable... more

I just arrived back to the states from my stay in Europe where I stayed at Hotel Ustel for two nights. I feel inclined to review this hotel in the hopes it will help someone else with their decision. I have never written a hotel review before but I couldn't let this slide. I wish I would have done more... more

Our travel agent gave us a few options and recommended Ustel for its location. Afterwards I read reviews for the hotel and so could make some informed decisions. We requested the "new" part of the hotel which was quite acceptable, huge bathroom, comfortable bed and television. Being winter the room was very warm all the time and as a note... more
