The neighbourhood is awful– I did not feel safe walking around here during the day or at night. The hotel itself is very basic. Our room was mostly clean with two single beds. There was construction going on in the hotel of which there was no notification from the hotel in anyway. The air conditioner was ineffective, but there were plenty of television channels. Be careful what you say. Your neighbor may be able to hear you. We heard our neighbors frolicking in the shower! Sounded like they were having fun but we were trying to sleep. Just come back from Brussels. Received warm welcome, although member of staff could not speak much English and me not much French. Friendly staff given map of area on arrival.
