Close to Metro, 2 stops from gare du Midi which is the. Eurostar terminal. 5 minutes from the Town Hall Square & the mannekin Pis Pleasant staff, space to sit in lobby, didn't book breakfast, ended up with smoking room but it wasn't smelly & safely opened window to atrium for air. Left luggage safely. Tea & coffee making facilities,... More

We recently stayed at the Exe Grand Place while in Brussels. This hotel was nothing fancy or unexpected. They rooms were in generally good condition and had a mini fridge. The hotel was located a very short walk away from the city center and the south midi train station which made it a very convenient base from which to explore... More

I spent one night in this hotel and it was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful, they kept our luggage for 3 days while we went to the Festival and had no problem with it. The hotel is very close to the city center and to Grand place (about 5 minute walk), and also pretty close to the... More

Exe Grand Hotel is a nice hotel about 20 minutes from the major sites. The staff are friendly and pretty helpful. I only give it three stars because the pictures on their website can be deceiving. There is a tiny breakfast area, non existent bar, and a poor business center. The amenities at this hotel are lacking severely. Other than... More

Very good location, rooms clean but the toilet was leaking and there was a big hole in the floor by the bathroom! Breakfast was continental buffet, not a great choice, pretty basic, not worth 8 euros per person.Would not return to this hotel.

It was clean and felt secure as doors were manually opened and shut by reception. Hotel was situated close to tourist attractions and restaurants. Although the area was not one where we felt entirely comfortable as we were constantly leered at by men until we reached area with the tourist attractions Room very warm as it looked onto atrium. Twice... More

This hotel was very disappointing. Allthough situated in a convenient location for many of the city centre attractions there was much to fault with this hotel. Our room faced inwards with the window opening onto a covered light well. This meant that the room was very dark, even with all the light on. It also meant that you had no... More

Having previously read the reviews, I requested a street facing room which we got on the 1st floor. It was a bit noisy on our first night (Sunday) but was relatively quiet the next 2 nights. It is the centre of town after all on a main road. Breakfast was good to start the day off before heading out to... More

Firstly, if you stay here, avoid rooms facing the atrium, they have no outside window and no window at all in the bathroom, and are much smaller. Our room was tiny with an unhelpful set up for 2 staying, and the bathroom had an awful layout as well. Temperature was difficult to control and only one lift working for approx... More

A first class hotel within a short walk of Grand Place - good facilities - excellent value for money. An easy walk from Brussels Midi Station - so much to see and do in Brussels - and this is the most perfect base

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Exe Hotel Grand Place Hotel in Brussels is set in a 19th century, neo-classical style building with a handsome façade. The exterior classicism is contrasted with the modern, minimalist interior decoration, where the universal lounge allows one to absorb the different ambiances of the Brussels hotel. Undoubtedly, our ensign is the central atrium lined in beige marble with a skylight letting in the light. Our guests immediately take a liking to this rest area where the fireplace, the bar and the comfortable armchairs transmit a universe of tranquillity in the very centre of Brussels.Brussels may indeed be a rainy city, with grey skies or even, too much of an administrative world. Maybe. But nobody can deny that the European capital has the most beautiful urban epicentre on the whole continent, because, without any doubt, the Grand Place irradiates such force over the city making one forget any other detail. La Grand Place is a gift that history and aesthetics offer our eyes. That is why it is worth seeking accommodation in its wake: be intelligent and treat yourself to the pleasure of enjoying the Grand Place and one of the most dynamic historical centres on the continent. ... more   less
