We arrived at the hotel which was breathtakingly beautiful and were made to feel welcome. We had booked a standard room but found ourselves in a lovely suite. Then the hotel addressed me as my sister in law, which made the penny drop that the upgraded room was a gift for our anniversary. Everything went great until check out when... More

Excellent location, nice cozy room and amazing value for money. The architecture of the hotel gives u an actual feel of Brussels vis a vis the modern hotels , most of them being usually contemporary . The service was also good. We wanted a kettle and it was immediately delivered along with cups and saucers which I consider thoughtful.

This was our first stop for our Europe tour and we were happy to start at the Metropole. We were allowed to check in early, which was fantastic since we were exhausted from our long flight. Every staff person was super friendly and helpful. Our room was just right and I loved the separation of the room and the bathroom... More

This old dame has been renovated since my last stay and my palatial suite (courtesy of an upgrade) was for for a queen (me!). Style, elegance, space, great bathroom: fabulous bed too. The lobby and bar are a must see and do: art nouveau at its finest. Sadly, the exquisite Michelin starred fine dining restaurant has closed: the bistro a... More

I throughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the staff were nice and friendly and the charming old school lift that takes you up the hotel is a definite selling point. The rooms are wide and spacious. This hotel is situated perfectly to get you around the town and visiting the sites, easily within walking distance for a spot of... More

I stayed here for the Friday night of the 200th Anniversary commemorations of the Battle of Waterloo, my second visit to the hotel following a good experience a couple of years ago. My only real criticism is the breakfast, which is not good value at about 29 euro for the usual continental buffet fare. Apart from that the room was... More

I had a great room here. Check in was quick and easy, and the elevator to the second floor was an old fashioned one. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had an old fashioned tub and taking a regular shower was not really an option. The bar/restaurant was tasty, however, rather expensive and the service only so/so.... More

Gorgeous grand dame of a hotel, contructed in 1895 and beautifully maintained. Breakfast wae superb. lunch in the restaurant was OK...soup and fries were wonderful. Rooms vary greatly in size and bathrooms; Some have a separate tub and shower; some have double sinks. All have a fridge with 2 each water, beer, and coke comp daily. Great location near the... We were staying briefly in the lower town of Brussels and were directed to the Metropole Hotel as it is supposed to be the best in this part of the City and the food supposedly excellent. Unfortunately there did not appear to be anything special about the food except the prices which were far too high for what we received.... More

Great place. Architectural masterpiece. Good value. Close to The Six Nations Bar dedicated to Rugby Union. Within walking distance of many and varied restaurants of global cuisine. I liked the tea and coffee salon in particular. The marble fireplace and linings to the walls were spectacular.
