I stayed for one night in September. The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. The room had everything you needed (hair drier, trouser press, TV with international channels etc) and drinks in the mini bar were included in the room for free. The hotel is easily found, right outside the metro stop, and is in a great location foe... More

Stay somewhere else!! Service was deplorable. There were people filming a movie while there, Constant nuisance from crew smoking drugs in halway and not being able to access room as elevator closed for movie.Top quality suite yet bath sized for children and drain not working in shower. 45 minutes wait for coffee in morning Food at restaurant frozen and poorly... This hotel is beautiful! We got upgraded to a suite at check in, for no obvious reason. The suite was gourgeous, with amazing 1800century decor. Breakfast was good, and the restaurant as well, with all the Belgian specialities. But the real treat here is the hotel itself, it is absolutely stunning! I found myself wanting to spend more time in... More

Just spent two nights at the metropole hotel in room 3042. As it was my birthday, they had put out a birthday card and yellow rose on a tray with a plate, but nothing on the plate. Little bit odd but the card was appreciated. The room is booked was the superior type (cheapest), but was large and beautifully decorated.... More

We stayed here for a long week end in August. The hotel is not a 5 star in my opinion. as stated below the rooms are very dated. Our shower came off the wall and soaked the bathroom. There were 3 of us sharing the room, which the staff were aware as we booked a triple room only 2 glasses... More

Stayed here for one night while in Brussels. The METRO is literally right across the street from the hotel, so very easy to get to. From airport, take the Shuttle bus you purchase outside the airport, (but its 10 EURO cheaper if you buy month advance online) drops you off at the train station dwtn, take subway and gets you... The Metropole is an interesting mix of the historic - the lobby and reception area dating back to the late 1800s/early 1900s with authentic fixtures and fittings. Indeed this area of the hotel and the façade apparently have a preservation order on them. The ladies on reception were very pleasant and efficient although our room wasn't ready as we arrived... On a previous trip to Brussels I happened to come across this belle époque beauty, and promised myself that I would stay here on a future trip to this city. It really is a gem built at the turn of the previous century, and epitomises "old Europe" at its best. The lobby is simply spendid with its stained glass decoration... More

We stayed at the hotel Metropole for our wedding anniversary in July. The hotel was very clean, glamorous and the staff were very friendly. We stayed in a suite which was a great size, with a gorgeous large bathroom and a safe which was free of charge to use. Location wise a short walk to the centre of Brussels. Couldn't... More

The Metropole is a beautiful and grand hotel full of charm......and that's about it. We got a good rate from travel site which probably explains why we got a slightly shabby looking room in the back of the hotel. I could live with that but the bathroom doesn't have a door and the frosted panels don't really give enough privacy... More
