My wife and I stayed here for a week in October for a meeting nearby. The room was comfortable and as well equipped as needed. There were a couple of problems - a standard lamp was missing its bulb and the luggage rack had been pulled form the wall but the bulb was fixed quickly. Not however the rack, though... More

I've just returned from a stay at the Silken Berlaymont hotel in Brussels and would recommend it. I stayed a Sunday and Monday evening (5-7 October 2014). The hotel is in a central position, near the EU buildings and the Schuman metro stop. (Metros er cheap and a great way to get around). Upon arrival I was promptly helped and... More

A lovely looking modern hotel, conveniently situated for the EU , and not too far out of town for visits into the center. Rooms not a bad size but bathrooms a bit on the small size, and for 48* I's have expected a heated mirror and shower caps. We rejected our first room, musty smell, badly stained carpet, and no... The "location"++ is the first reason for choosing this hotel "just behind the Commission building". The "staff is helpful"+ but maybe they need to smile a little bit more (well we are in Brussels). My room was "ok" with a "nice balcony with a view"+, "essential bathroom" but "forniture a little bit outdated". "Good choice of food for breakfast" but... More

The location is good as it is located near European institutions. The view from the 8 flour was very nice. But during my stay they had some problems with elevator, as they were upgrading it , so it took some time to go up and down. The breakfast was good but you have to search for a place to sit... More

stayed here purely due to location. Didn't disappoint on that side. Hotel is smart, well maintained and efficient. Breakfast is good but can get very busy. Overall ok but fairly expensive mainly due to location.

I am actually sat here in the hotel right now and just had to write something. It is such a shame that this nice hotel is totally let down by the staff. The hotel itself is very well situated and close to the business areas and only a short distance from the centre of Brussels. The rooms are nice, good... More

The hotel location is safe and convenient for it is in the EU area, close to the European Commission and to the underground. The area is quiet and plenty of restaurants, pizzerias and cafés. The hotel is good for its services (like the spa), as well as for its nice staff.

Silken is located close to the European Commission, and about 10 minutes walk from the Parliament, so if, like me, you are travelling on business, it's a great location. There's a decent restaurant in the hotel, but just round the corner in Rue Stevin and Rue Archimede, there are a variety of cafés, bars and restaurants in a quite lively... More

This is a great hotel for business trips. The airport bus takes 30 minutes and drops one to close to the door and the hotel is beside the main Commission buildings. The manager at reception was excellent upon check-in and suggested that I be accomodated in the comfort business ladies room which was spacious, quiet and comfortable. This was a... More
