This is a little hotel to choose for the central location (Rue des Bouchers, just off the Grand Place in Brussels), not for the facilities. It has character, it's clean and very good value at 50 Euros. For that price, something had to go:
- There is no hotel breakfast. (Go to one of the elegant cafés in the arcades.)
- There is no TV in the room. (Go out and enjoy Brussels - you are so close to the Grand Place that it would be a crime to spend the evening in your room.)
- There is limited English spoken at the reception. (How exotic - a chance to practise your French! Or just be brief.)
- There is no lift/elevator. (Hard to see how they could have squeezed one in to this modest space. The exercise will be good for you.)
- There is limited hot water. (Get up before everyone else or have a lie-in and a bracing shower when you wake.)
