+ Handy for the station. Friendly and helpful reception. Comfortable bed. - Nothing to do with the hotel but the general area around there is a little shabby and not very salubrious - that said I didn't feel uncomfortable.

I booked this for the same reason as most people do due to its close proximity to Brussels Midi station. The hotel in general was a little tired and worn, as was the furniture in my room. It was basic but had a private toilet/bathroom. Some traffic noise outside but the room was clean and the bed reasonable. There are... More

we used Brussels as a base for travelling around by train and therefore opted for this hotel. I found about about the lack of a lift only after making the booking for 2 triple rooms (by reading reviews). When I wrote the hotel, asking for rooms on ground floor, I got a response saying that the triple rooms were on... More

Basic but clean accommodation. We stayed here whilst at a conference for 4 days in the Square. It was easy walking distance to the city centre (15-20 mins) and also well placed for access to the Eurostar from St Pancras. The staff were very polite and the room was comfortable though basic. As a result the price was very competitive.... More

We booked the Stalingrad because of it's location - right near Brussels Midi train station - as we were doing lots of travelling in a short space of time for work purposes. We found it immediately, after a very long day travelling from the UK to Charleroi Ariport and then up to the north of Belgium for a meeting. The... More

We stayed here for one night to break up a long train journey from Northern Germany to the UK. The hotel is only about 10 minutes walk from Brussels Midi station, and that was the main reason for choosing it. We had a room on the 2nd floor, but there is no lift and only a narrow staircase which may... More

The room was a super big one and really confortable. There was a big dressing room between the room and the toilet. The breakfast was not included, but there were many restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel. The hotel is near the main train station and a metro station.

I paid $98 for the night. In comparison to other hotels in Brussels, I would say it should have been $40 a night maximum. The bathroom had not been cleaned and there was still a used bar of soap in the shower . The neighborhood is shaky and very male centric with lots of men sipping tea on the streets... More

We stayed at Hotel Stalingrad during our visit to Brussels during May 2012. From the outside, the hotel seems a bit dark, but the rooms are an absolute pleasure to stay in! A big bedroom with double bed and double windows, a "dressing room" between the bedroom and bathroom with another double window, and a big bathroom with shower in... More
