Stayed 3 nights in mid August. Location perfect for sites and metro. Loads of good eating places and bars around. Hotel very clean and basic. Good value for centre of Brussels, breakfast good and proprietors very helpful and friendly.

We had a great experience! Good breakfast, nice and clean room maybe not too big but it was enough, we were not too much time there anyways. Well located, close to everything. Edward was very nice to us and very friendly. Just be aware if you have a big and heavy suitcase, there is no elevator and could be a... More

We stayed for four days in Brussels and booked this accommodation following favourable reviews on tripadvisor. It may just be that we had recently stayed in some lovely hotels and guest houses on a trip around France and Spain, but we were a little underwhelmed by Les Ecrins. There was nothing majorly wrong with it, it just didn't have that... More

This is a good hotel, the host was very nice pleasant. The hotel is located 10 minutes away from many restaurants and historic city buildings I would like to recommend it because it's in a good location and very clean

We stayed as a couple in July 2014. The place is so close to the center to metro station - St. Catherine-(5 mins from metro station). The place is clean and good - not fancy. Breakfast is basic but good. The owner is polite and welcoming. Avoid the room near the entrance in ground floor.

Love this place. Edward is very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Situation near St Catherine is excellent for travelling around Brussels. Room large and clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is a treat - great fresh bread and croissants accompanied by good strong coffee, from a seemingly bottomless pot! I would not hesitate to return to Les Ecrins the next... More

I was here back in 2011, and still remember the wonderful man at reception named Steven. He always greeted me in the morning and knew I liked my coffee (he would bring it to me without asking since he knew the answer was always "yes"). I don't know if he still is there, but even if he isn't, I am... More

Loved this hotel. Edward was very kind, helpful and can offer good travel tips. Had an issue with one room on our first night and he immediately moved us. Room 124 in main building (double) was stylish and spacious. Room 120 in next door building was perfect for a family of 4. Large bedroom with a double and a sitting... More

From the first contact I had with Guy on email, our experience with Les Ecrins was delightful. I spent a great deal of time looking for the "perfect" place to stay in Brussels (i.e. reasonably priced, in a good neighbourhood within walking distance of the city sights, appealing and attractive) and Les Ecrins checked all the boxes. The name means... More

I have to say I was surprised at how crowded and dirty the main tourist strip in Brussels was. We got off the train and walked to this hotel and I wasn't feeling great about my choice. Then we got to the lovely St Catherine's square and found the hotel and everything was immediately good again. The service was quick... More
