The hotel is well located; halfway between Gare du Nord and the Grand Place; Diverse food at breakfast; Very clean; poorly suited bathroom and rooms for Hotel **** or the price paid; Professional staff but little friendly, decent reception, but with raw farewell; Wi-fi in the rooms;

Hotel was nice, room with comfortable and large bed, boiling kettle with tea and coffee in the room. Just the shower was too hot, but better than cold :-) Breakfast was nice, but few vegetables (just cucumber and tomatoes). Compared to others, this are just small minuses, the rest was fine and we can´t complain. We enjoyed the stay.

This hotel is reasonably Central and does everything it should do. The swarms of reception staff get you moving quickly enough and are polite if not exactly warm and welcoming. The smell of cooked fish emanating from the restaurant encouraged a speedy departure for the rooms. The maze of corridors upstairs need the home made signs to direct you. The... More

At the end of our trip in October, we wanted to have a nice meal around the Grand Place before flying out. This hotel was fairly close to the Bruxelles‐Nord train station and the Grand Place. Its street had an odd mix of fine hotels where you wouldn't be surprised to see the President and small businesses that I wouldn't... More

Very good. Located in the center of the city, Walking distance to major attractions and shopping area. Clean and comfortable rooms. Mini bar at the room. Can talk English in the reception. Good breakfast.

Hi everybody, I was in this hotel for 2 nights and I liked it. It is centrally located and the staff are very cordial. Rooms are clean and I would consider staying again when I am there in Brussels. The only thing, with the price I paid, I think breakfast should have been provided as 75 Euro for single occupancy... More

The Marivaux used to be a luxurious old movietheatre but was closed and converted into a hotel 10-15 years ago. Unfortunately this was done with such appalling style and with such utter bad taste: it broke my heart to see how little remained of its past. This hotel is like a maze, has rooms with views that face a brick... More

Stayed with my mother over Christmas (2 nights). Good location: near city centre, metro&train as well as shopping area close by. Staff very polite. Nice room: ample closet space, good mattresses, bathroom with bath & shower, toiletries & bathrobes, a minibar, tea&coffee. Good free wifi, also in room. Breakfast buffet (at reduced price - winter season) very good value for... More

I stayed in Marivaux hotel at december 2014 during christmas period. I paid 80/night included breakfast, with cancellation option for a double room! Breakfast quite good, not excellent but definetely good. Breakfast time was 07.00-11.00 which was perfect. Location was good, near metro, but also next to grand palace square! our room was in an extension of the builduing. Fairly... More

The location was excellent close to metro, city center and railway station to Bruxelles airport (Zaventem), Brugge and Antwerp. I expected a bigger room and nicer but at the end everything was fine. The room service was good but in the last day (we spent 8 nights) I found dust and negligence in the bathroom. The international breakfast offered an... More
