We just needed a place to crash for the night before catching our flights the next evening. With no prior booking, we just wanted something close to the city centre and not awefully expensive. This hotel fit the bill. Although difficult to find at first because it is in one of the many alleys criss-crossing the area, it is actually... More

I booked this hotel as a "mystery booking" meaning I didn't know where we were staying until after I paid. When I read the reviews, I was dreading our stay there. The hotel is old but charming. The minifridge did not work and there was no WiFi, but otherwise the room was fine. (They said there was WiFi downstairs, but... More

When I travel, friendliness is on the top of my list - right beside cost. I found this here at Hotel George V. I really liked that it is family-run - we were not part of a carbon copy chain. We were given excellent directions and gentle assistance. The ambience is old world quiet and that helped me relax. We were... More

I booked through booking.com and have never been disappointed. This hotel had nothing but missing parts and all it stated on booking.cim was a lie. Mini bar = a dirty empty small fridge with rust that did not work. There was a safe in the room but did not work. Plastic hangers from the 70s. Location is ok, but it's... More

Good things: - Very close to the city centre - Quite quiet neighbourhood - Helpful staff - they told us where to find the most famous Belgian Fries place - Breakfast included - Towels Bad things: - We've got the room just next to the reception - you could hear an anxious sound of ceiling being stretched when someone upstairs... We used priceline, which was a big mistake. Priceline is a terrible, terrible company and I advise anybody to avoid them at all cost. Discouraged by the bad reviews on here we tried to change the hotel, but priceline steadfast refused. We got to the hotel at around 8:30PM.... It is in a dodgy area of brussels and there is... More

To start with I am a bloke and can deal with anything!!! My girlfriend will take anything that gets dealt also. Unfortunately on this occasion my girlfriend explained to me in no uncertain terms that I made the wrong choice. The room was small which was ok. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. THEN THE SHOWER. You couldn't... More

The room was quite small, breakfast was not good, it has food from previous day and also some has expired. I had been to better hotel in Brussels, with almost the same price. I would advice you to check for a better room to stay
