I stayed in the Lodge recently which is an annex to the main hotel. The rooms were quite good though a little spartan. The spartan look also extended to the corridors. However, the hotel was quite good generally, and the main areas are quite pleasant and intimate, and the food is pretty good in the restaurant. Overall not bad and... More

More than comfortable and pleasant. Restaurant and bar are nice, service is good and staff is helpful. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay for a night look no further. Breakfast is well done and served with a smile. Loads of bars and restaurants in the little town if you don't want to try the hotel restaurant... More

Have stayed here many times while visiting relatives and really like this place. The hotel has larger rooms, with baths (shower over) if you prefer, but I like the adjoining Lodge which has more modern rooms with walk in shower room, though they are all twin bedded. Breakfast is served in the Sucrerie, in the main hotel, a converted sugar... More

While on a tour of Northern Europe, we stopped at Martin's Grand Hotel, expecting another small, quaint venue. We were wrong. This is a large, comparable-to-a-Marriott-style Hotel. The "grand" in the name truly resonates in the size of the hotel, the parking and the restaurants. The rooms are large (ours was) and has full amenities. The bathroom is spacious, as... More

I have stayed here on two occasions now. Both have been for golfing trips and there are some excellent courses in this area all within 30 minutes drive of Waterloo. The hotel is very clean and tidy and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. As we were on an all male golf tour, I have only stayed in twin rooms.... More

Nice hotel. Quiet location. Rooms are to a good standard. There is an on site restaurant where the food was good quality. I would stay here again. Good price per night although I booked a last minute deal and struggled to get enough rooms for my colleagues.

2 rooms were booked for "the Lodge" for Friday 19th September for our family to stay in. On arrival we were greeted with the young lady receptionist saying as they couldn't fit a travel cot into the rooms we had booked very easily we had been upgraded to the main hotel. Excellent double rooms with kingsize beds, and good bathroom... More

it was one of my favourite hotels in Belgium. The last time I was there was 3 days ago. It's aging badly. Bath fixtures, room carpet, restaurant furniture, service personnel all disappointing! Too bad, I got to look for an alternative in the area.

Good is what I would describe this hotel. Adequate, clean and spacious room that had a nice en-suite with jacuzzi bath tub and all amenities needed. Restaurant was also good - food very nice but service could improve a bit. Breakfast was disappointing - cheap and unimpressive selection of cooked meats and cheeses and cold and overcooked eggs, sausages and... More

The rooms were big and quit. The small water boiler was not working but the staff was very helpful in replacing it. The restaurant "La Sucrerie" is excellent. We had the monthly menu and every plate was a treat. The restaurant itself is cosy and the service was quick and accurate. The bar has quite a lot of cocktails to... More
