I was excited to stay here for a trip of a lifetime to the Waterloo battlefield, but my expectations were ruined upon arrival. To sum it up, this is hardly a “grand hotel,” as its name implies. The only thing separating it from a 2 ½-star, no-frills hotel is the restaurant. This is anything but a luxury hotel — most... More

Got to the hotel entrance and my kind taxi driver said how are you getting in ! I assured him there must be another entrance , yes there was over my pet hate cobble stones, round trip of 50m from the front entrance , no sign posts or directions. Step in to the door manageable for me , then the... More

Very cosy room. The one with kitchen is good for long staying. Nutritious breakfast in the restaurant at 1st floor but very limited choice with high prices in the evening there. Not very good ventilation in gym on 3rd floor and absence of chin-up bar there. No cups in restaurant for taking away very tasty coffee.

I went on a Waterloo battlefield tour and found this hotel to be very comfortable, with all usual comforts one expects. The restaurant is very good indeed for dinner (langoustine, scallops, rib-eye steak) and the breakfast is superior to most. The dining area has a fantastic brick vaulted ceiling for those that love their architecture. The location offers good access... More

This hotel was a wonderful place to stay at in Waterloo. We met friends here for the weekend and enjoyed. The bar downstairs was hospitable with a nice selection of drinks. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was located nicely within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The lobby and staff were welcoming.

I stayed here on several occasions during February and March while attending business meetings in the Brussels area. The hotel had been chosen as our base by colleagues and it proved to be very convenient to reach, with the motorway to/from Brussels located a short distance away meaning that the drive from Brussels International Airport took less than 30 mins... a fine hotel with a great restaurant; the best of belgian hospitality... have stayed there a number of times, and find it welcoming and resting. just outside Brussels. and by the way, this is the Waterloo bi centenary so a visit is a must: go to the battlefield, and try and discover the brewery at Mont Saint Jean farm. the... Stayed here right after Christmas for the second time. Hotel is comfortable, staff pleasant, and breakfast buffet filled with many choices is a nice start to the day. The town of Waterloo is full of interesting shops and restaurants. Would recommend this spot to anyone with a car who is looking for a quiet, relaxing home base while touring the... More

If you're in Waterloo for business (or golf, that to some is also a business) go no further than this hotel. It is not posh, it is not pretentious, is just convenient and well-maintained. The bar is a good meeting point for after-business hours or after-dinner.

I stayed in the Lodge recently which is an annex to the main hotel. The rooms were quite good though a little spartan. The spartan look also extended to the corridors. However, the hotel was quite good generally, and the main areas are quite pleasant and intimate, and the food is pretty good in the restaurant. Overall not bad and... More
