Our first trip abroad for over 40 years was made more enjoyable by the stay at this hotel. We have stayed in a number of hotels in the u.k. over the years, but this one was far superior. You weren't disturbed by people in the corridoor late at night banging doors or talking loudly, Although the weather was vey warm... More

I stayed in Martin's in August 2016 for two nights. The staff were very attentive and helpful when I checked in. The room was freezing when I entered but this just proved to me that the air conditioning was working :-) The breakfasts are good and it has a well equipped (but small) gym. In terms of location this is... More

At the end of a day trudging the battlefield of Waterloo, noting could be better than a night at Martins Grand Hotel. This was not only our first day at Waterloo, but also our first at this hotel and we were not disappointed with either. After depositing our luggage in our room, dinner was the next thing on our minds.... More

We stayed one night, two adults and two kids. Very fresh rooms with large and comfortable beds, and new bathrooms that included a bubble bath. The free wifi and gated parking is also a positive! We will come back the next time we need an overnight in Waterloo.

I've stayed several times at this hotel, the staff was always friendly and helpfull the rooms in the main hotel are spacious, the rooms in the lodge are smaller with as one of the biggest down sites no coffee making facilities. The hotel restaurant serves good food and the served breakfast is good

Typically, we are a party of 10 male adults and we visit this hotel every june to play golf at the various wonderful golf courses that are all located within 1/2 hour from the hotel. We have been doing this trip for at least 12 years and there has never been any problem with the hotel organising all of our... More

We had three nights at the busiest tine of their year the 200th anniversary of Waterloo. There were thousands of people in Waterloo and the hotel was full but the hotel was very professional with no glitches apparent to any guests. The room was comfortable and large with an excellent bathroom. The breakfast was good both with hot and cold... More

I stayed at this hotel after I saw Waterloo Battlefield. The hotel room was somewhat spacious but dark. The internet connection did not work either. The hotel has free parking in a parking lot next to the hotel. The hotel is about a 10-15 drive from the Waterloo Battlefield. There were plenty of options for breakfast.

This was not our first stay at this hotel we stayed here as it was very convenient for the battle field celebrations. This time I found the room we had to be a bit tired and in need of some updating! However as always the staff were very friendly and efficient. The bar was comfortable and an enjoyable place to... More

Stayed one night in June to visit the Waterloo Battlefields. Have been to Waterloo before and I have stayed at other Martin's Hotels but never combining the two. It really is a unique reuse of a building and they have tastefully redone a sugar factory into a trendy hotel / restaurant. I was especially impressed by the attention to detail... More
