I stay quite often in this hotel for business trips. Well designed, spacious rooms and most of them very quiet. The breakfast buffet is very good with ham, cheese, eggs and fresh fruits plus plenty other selection. The fitness centre is quite small.

Given Waterloo’s snooty reputation and some other reviews we were expecting the worst from Martin’s Grand Hotel, but on the whole it was a pleasant stay. The staff/receptionists were helpful, the beds/facilities comfortable and our rooms spotlessly clean. The hotel’s restaurant “La Sucrerie” was a different story, somebody should tell the staff here that the world has moved on. Waiters... More

The hotel is located in an old factory. It has a cosy atmosphere with warm colours but also a modern look. Quite big but only two floors. The reception service is attentive and quite good. Nice bar area. The restaurant and breakfast room are located in a chellar-like area that gives a historic flavour. Breakfast comes with the usual selection... More

A first class hotel with good clean comfortable rooms. The location is perfect for visiting the Waterloo Battlefield and Museums. The staff were very happy to help with directions, providing free maps that they scribbled directions on.

If you are visiting the Waterloo battlefield this hotel is ideally placed. It is quiet, well run with clean well appointed rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was all you could wish for and the restaurant provided very well cooked food.

been to this hotel a year ago and had a satisfactory stay. therefore was surprised that this time there was such a dramatic change in the quality of service. First I received a room that was much smaller than I had previously and was told that it's the same category. it was like saying that a sedan and a mini... More

Good location with several nice restaurants nearby. The hotel has a nice atmosphere and the breakfast was good. Never tried the bar or restaurant but they looked cozy. My room was big and clean but a little bit run down. A light bulb was missing, a cord for a lamp was worn and it was a bit tricky to operate... More

Everything is done well enough. Nothing to raise serious complaints about, but also nothing to make the experience stand out. The room is ok, the service is ok, and the food is ok. The best thing is it's location; its centrally located near downtown Waterloo.

On check-in and first impressions very impressed, the grounds nicely kept, parking easy and was swiftly checked in. That's as good as it got. Three attempts to get my room key card to work, returning each time to reception with bags, no fun after a 12 hour day! The room once I finally managed to enter was of a good... More
