“Small hotel in the center of Mechelen”

The Egmont hotel is a rather old-fashioned hotel. It is located quite close to the center of Mechelen and also close to the Nekkars Exhibition Hall. Rooms are sober and small, the bathroom was recently refurbished and looks quite good. Breakfast is a bit sober. There is a bar, when reserved there is space in the parking garage (paid). Internet... “Clean but nothing special”

Chose this hotel as we had a very small budget - little to say other than very average rooms, but the friendly staff made us welcome.

my first room had a small hall way lead to a bathroom, and then another room with twin beds, a tiny 15" tv, and a view of the street. however, the windows did not keep the street noise out (traffic mostly), so i asked for another room. i was moved into a smaller room with only one twin bed and...
