I stayed here for a long weekend so that I could visit the Christmas markets, a very comfortable hotel clean and well presented excellent staff with one exception the bar man on Friday evening refused to accept payment for the drinks ordered at the bar so that I had a bill owing when I left on Monday morning,I prefer to... We have stayed twice at this hotel and are very happy with it - the rooms are big and clean, the hotel is a stones-throw from the center of town. The reception staff are friendly and very helpful. The parking is a bit expensive (we paid around 20 euros for a night) but that's the "normal" price of parking in... More

Stayed here for two nights in December , great location with the main square in Mechelen just a short walk away. Modern hotel with clean spacious rooms , staff very friendly . There were plenty of choices at breakfast and they do not charge for use of the safe

I stayed here for one night. Underneath the hotel is a public parking which makes it very easy to get access. The main sights of the lovely city of Mechelen are within walking distance. There are a few bars when you cross the water and go to the Vismarkt. The breakfast has many options. Service was ok. Like I said,... More

We were travelling as a group to the Christmas markets in Belgium taking in Bruges Brussels and Lieges. With hindsight we should have stayed in Mechelen for longer and had less time in Lieges. The hotel is modern clean and in a lovely spot. Breakfast was buffet and not just continental. The rooms are well appointed just one snag...it appears that... More

Spent a long weekend in mechelen. This hotel was clean, modern and the staff friendly. Our room was lovely. Huge bed, fabulous bathroom with separate toilet. We had no complaints with breakfast - buffet style with a wide choice. The hotel is ideally located to wander through mechelen which is a beautiful place. Spoilt for choice numerous bars and good... Lovely modern, clean hotel, in a beautiful location. Situated down a small street near a canal, with a few wine bars either side. A 5-10 minute walk takes you into the town centre, lots of restaurants/bars, although a number of restaurants didn't serve food past 9pm on a Friday night. Large lobby/reception, which led into a bar and also into... More

This Novotel is in a great location, close to all the city centre attractions Mechelen has to offer. Decent rooms, as you would expect, facilities are all good. Bar is nice. Breakfast is over priced, but that goes for all Novotels. The rooms are not cheap, but the location makes up for this. The hotel is pet friendly.
