Stayed for one night and for us it was enough..Hotel is nice when you enter, all staff friendly and helpfull..Room on the 3rd floor was small and dark and depressing.grey ceiling, grey walls grey bathroom and brown carpets.only one tiny window for natural light and fresh air.had a nice bit of stained glass to look at but that is not original as... Dear mrbusy, Thank you very much for your message. I'm sorry to hear your experiences didn't meet your expectations. However, I'm happy to hear you've noticed the friendliness of my staff and the fact they were very helpful. I think these are the most important things about hospitality and hotel services. The in house architecture is a matter of taste.... More

Great hotel and really cheap for a twin room. Lovely churchesque features throughout the hotel. Hard to park near, ad to use a multi-storey, 5-10 mins walk. Excellent location for walking around town and eating.out. Reception staff recommended a great restaurant and made reservations too for us.

This hotel has been imaginitively restored taking into account the needs of the mobility impaired. Access is gained through the ramped luggage storage area and the hotel is accessible throughout. The architects are to be praised for the way the ancient features have been incorporated into the rebuilding and restructuring of this hotel. Breakfast is excellent with a full choice... More

What a wonderful gem. Historic old church on the outside. Wonderful, high class hotel on the inside. Rooms can be a bit unusual in their layout (sometimes a support pillar in the room), but they've retained the beautiful building and it's character outside and wonderfully remodeled the inside into the gem that it is. And close to the centrum. Great... More

Definitely deserves its 4-star! A remodelled cathedral with great room space, this hotel is stunning. The tower room was clean, spacious and comfy. The breakfast was more than convenient. Even though the parking was expensive, it was worth having a car space. Very convenient to restaurants across the river. Will definitely stay there again.

Great hotel within an old church. I was given a room at the top, and it was nice, not outstanding but nice. Room was big with tube. The view from the room was great, with beutiful church 50-100 m away. The breakfast was very good, and the breakfast room was amazing, the former chapel of the church. The staff was... More

I visited the Martin's Patershof hotel as part of a business trip to the city. A charming hotel, very tastefully restored to reflect the history of the church building. My room was large by other hotel standards, beautifully decorated and full of character with a preserved stained-glass window. Like the rest of the hotel, cleanliness was of a very high... More

Very nice hotel, previously a church that has been rebuild into an hotel, open since 2009. Rooms are very special with these glass windows with lead. Same with dining room where the original altar is still present. Not only the place as such but also the service and food are of a very good quality. Place is close to the... More

A very good hotel situated close to the centre of the town. The conversion of the building is very good creating spacious comfortable rooms with character. The service was excellent throughout our visit and the breakfast buffet was one of the best I have had in Belgium. I will definitely return here on future visits to Mechelen.
