Staff was nice at first. Hostel was full of mosquitos. If in a room upstairs, you must shower downstairs. Wifi didnt work. A bit out of the way, but not too far. Social, met some cool people. Everything was ok til the last day. It was 10:59 am, I was downstairs in common area with my luggage, and staff got... More

After arriving without a booking and outside of the designated check in time Bridget was more than happy to offer my friend and I the only remaining room in the hostel. She took the time to go through the local area on a giant wall map, pointing out various bars, sights and food places that we should check out, something... More

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed! It's very clean, beautiful and stylish. Run by a kind and lovely couple, they literally saved us as we had no place to stay and called them the last minute. Such a nice surprise to us! Reasonable prices and not far from the centre.

abhostel is absolutely excellent. The couple who run it are lovely - we were shown in and around by Bridget, the rooms are funky and unusual, very nicely done up and very clean. It is a fascinating building and I really wish we could have stayed more than two nights. So many books and board games to look at, quirky... More

Hipsters eat your heart out this hostel is your vibe. Hospitality second to none in this fun, converted chocolate factory hostel. I had the warmest welcome from one of the owners Bridget. She also baked a cake each day I was there for the guests. The area is a little gritty. Common area facilities were excellent. I was a little... More

I have stayed at many (about two dozen) hostels around the world and this was one of the best. I stayed for three nights. The couple that runs it are extremely polite, fun and helpful. I loved the way they not only checked me in but also pointed out important stuff in the vicinity. The location is quite good, near... More

ABsolutely fantastic hostel. The staff (in particular, Bridget) were exceptional, and made me feel right at home. I even returned to the hostel a few days later, and she left me a warming, welcoming note. There is a great rooftop terrace where people tend to socialise, and the breakfast is 'help yourself' whenever you feel like it (no time restrictions).... More

I stayed at AB Hostel with my 4 year old daughter and we had the best time! For my daughter there were toys available in the large living room for guests. And a TV and dvd player to watch her favourite films. The room was wonderful, two comfy single beds... we slept so well and no noise... We loved the... More

I stumbled upon this hostel about 6 years ago (in a different location then) and was so impressed with everything. Bridget was such a great host! I recently found myself headed back to Antwerp and there was only one option, ABHOSTEL! The new location allows for more room and even has a rooftop terrace that is great for enjoying beers... More
