Scandic hotel is located about 10 min by taxi from the city center. You can take tram number 24 (make sure you go on the right direction) from a trap stop called "Joe English". The tram stop is just 5-10 min walk from the hotel. A Euro 1.60 ticket will get you to the city center. Not an ideal hotel... more

The Scandic hotel in Antwerp is a fairly well located hotel. The hotel seemed a little less maintained from outside ( probably needed a resh coat of paint)...but overall pretty OK on the inside...good breakfast...got free internet which was a surprise, not sure if it is standard..rooms pretty good...large beds. Booked a cheap summer rate at this Scandic; in fact so cheap that I was not expecting much. The location is not central, of course, but there was a decent tram connection to the railway station. Location - Suburb of Antwerp with a multi ethic population. Hotel located near motorway which makes it easily reachable by car. Motorway sounds are minimal. I have stayed here 6 times and will be back! Rooms are good standard and very comfortable. The staff are wonderful, always smiling and ready to give the best service. Breakfast is wide ranging and facilities are great - gym, pool, sauna, steambath. Also great for kids. Feels like a holiday! more
