Although the Dutch Calvinist Republic scandalously blocked the entrance of Antwerp’s port during the Spanish and Austrian rule until the rise of Napoleon, the flamboyant city located at a strategic bend of the Scheldt river always kept on looking at the bright side of life, just like it did in the heydays of the Burgundian dukes of the 15th and... For us as a family (M and D 13yrold daughter) and with only 2 nights we needed something central and tidy. We don't go in for décor, or the ambiance, or chic clientele, or majestic views (our room did overlook a small square, however) but loved the breakfast and its 5min walk to the Grote Markt along a pleasant, practical... Hotel is situated in a square close to the coach station - ideal if arriving by Megabus. Room was clean and tidy - however mine was on the top floor - up a lot of narrow stairs with a dirty carpet - difficult if you have suitcases. Buffet breakfast was fine. Good location close to the centre - ok for... More

Everything as expected. Nice and tidy rooms. Breakfast was ok. Perfectly located in the center with a huge variaty of restaurants and bars around . Free parking lots near the hotel. The only fly in the oinment was that the rooms are clairaudient.

I stayed in this hotel for New Years Eve at Antwerp in Dec. 2015. The only downside that I can think is no power outlet next to the bed, which is the dumbest complain, the hotel is magnificent, although I had asked for a double bed and got two singles. Cozy rooms in old style, second floor, an old fireplace... More

We stayed at Hotel Schedezicht for one night, ours room was on second floor, the stairs quite narrow but managed to climb up and down , the room was very cosy nice and clean. At the back of the building is home care for elderly so it was so quiet. The town just 5 minutes walked and plenty of restaurants... More

I stayed with my elderly parents , my dad is 83 and my mom 80, in this Hotel for 3 nights. Anna and Johanna, the receptionists were extremely helpful. They helped me to phone Paris to change some bookings and helped me book tickets on the Thalys. This hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Groote Markt and all the... More

Nice hotel, middle of the city centre next to the river schelde. Don't expect a 5 star hotel for just 59 euro's, but great spacy rooms with a reasonable internet connection. It is clean and they make you share bathrooms but thats not a problem as it is just outside your room. I love this hotel especially for its price... More

We were greeted by a male receptionist who was friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 3rd floor, as others have mentioned there is no lift, and a winding spiral staircase (luckily we had just one small suitcase). The room itself was comfortable, with the shower and handbasin in the room itself, so I guess you have to be... More

The hotel is conveniently located only a few minutes walk from nearby attractions. Free parking is available about 5 minutes walk away. Sat nav was a nightmare as it was trying to send us down one way streets and walkways. Hotel looks shabby on entry but the room was a good size and comfy enough, although a little peculiar in...
