My friend and I stayed here for a night when we were visiting Antwerp. The hotel is beautiful and the hostess is very warm, friendly and helpful! Because it is not that expensive you should not expect a lot of luxury, but everything was just fine! The hotel is not directly in the centre, but you can walk for 15min... More

I stayed her whilst attending the middlheim jazz festival, rooms wee basic, but totally adequate, owners were very helpful re travel tips etc, eating breakfast in an art deco beautiful dining room was a treat, both for the surroundings and the food quality, whilst listening to jazz, really could not fault the place, also handy for the kulminator beer bar,... I needed an inexpensive but pleasant hotel in Antwerp and Hotel Rubenshof fit the bill perfectly. The lobby and reception area were unexpectedly large and gorgeous. My room, a single with shared shower, was tiny but had everything I needed - bed, sink, storage. There were some quirky little stairs to go up then down in to the room which... More

I want to leave this place a great review but the bed really let it down. The hotel's in a good location, just 15 minutes walk from Antwerpen-Zuid station and 20 minutes to the centre, and with a tram stop right outside. The lady at reception was lovely and smiley which made me feel very welcome after travelling there alone... More

Hotel Rubenshof provides everything I look for when visiting a European city: it's clean, comfortable, conveniently located, and reasonably priced. But this hotel offers so much more, especially for those who want to experience beauty in their surroundings. The building was once the residence of an archbishop, and little expense seems to have been spared in decorating the main floor,... More

I've stayed at the Rubenshof extensively over many years and never found it anything but amazing. Great breakfasts in a fantastic Art Nouveau dining room (and the entrance lobby is just incredible, for a small place!) - the bedrooms are small and functional, albeit in need of some attention, but super value for money nonetheless. The staff are friendly and... More

We chose this hotel because of the beautiful architecture, but found it's much more worn than the pictures show. We had a shared bathroom but wasn't expecting that they'd be on a different level which was inconvenient in the middle of the night. There was a strong smoke smell also. Rather dingy overall and not close to the city center.... More

The hotel is situated near the 't Zuid area, which has a few thing to see but is slightly far from the city center (about 25 minutes walking) tram stop is just 5 meters away from the hotel though. The hotel is old and the rooms are very basic and worn, but they are clean and probably you won´t find... More

Run by a friendly couple who are happy to impart there extensive local knowledge. They can sell you a multi-journey public transport ticket. The tram which passes every ten minutes, is the best way to visit the city centre. Rooms are faded and furniture old, but clean. Amazing original art nouveau decoration in reception, lounge area and brakfast dining room. Parking... More

The room was very basic and a bit worn but it was warm. The was a distinct smell of 'pipes' too. The breakfast is simple - bread, coffee, juice etc Personally I wouldn't be rushing back but if you're on a tight budget it'll do.
