I had heard .. OH SO MUCH .. of this hotel over the recent decade and, again, from people whose tasted I trusted implicitly. A year or so ago I even joined friends for a sumer evening drink in the hotel's courtyard. The Witte Lelie's (White Lily) reputation was that of the most discreet, rarefied, refined, most tastefully decorated hotel... more

The hotel had arranged for us to be collected from Brussels Eurostar - the driver was very good. On checking in we were shown to a terrible room which did not even have a bath. We had booked via American Express/Small Luxury Hotels of the World where a free upgrade is supposed to be automatically made if available - on... more

A beautiful private hotel of 10 rooms, some very large with fireplaces. A very expensive nightly rate, but I felt it was worth every Euro. The staff is very attentive and remember your name throughout your stay. My room was large with lovely rugs and a huge bath and tub. Not all of the high-tech stereo seemed to be working,... more

I read all the reviews about this hotel before booking it - for one night during the Zomer Van Antwerpen festival. Although I'd read the reviews I expectedless than I got - I had booked a single room (no single room supplement) and expected the usual cupboard with a shower room set in it. Far from it. I was immediately... more

We booked a large suite for 2 nights of our European 'tour' honeymoon - it was expensive at 495 euros a night but we were splashing out as it was our honeymoon. On arrival, as other reviews have said, you have to ring a bell for entry - we were a little early but it didn't seem to be a... more

It's true that De Witte Lelie is a beautiful hotel, in a great part of town for sightseeing. The attention to detail - drink and chocolates in the room, free minibar, great breakfasts are all great. But...there are I think some downsides. It was only just as we were waiting to leave the hotel that we read the review of... more

It doesn't get much better than this. A small, boutique hotel a few blocks east of the Grote Markt. The hotel (The White Lily) is located on a quiet side street. Press the gold doorbell for admitance and marvel at the wonderful decor. The rooms are large and wonderfully decorated in modern style. There are no bad rooms. I usually... more

A great hotel? well... Great reviews, but very cold in December. The room was cold (the maid turns off the radiators as "she gets too hot cleaning the room" and forgets to turn them back on again), the 'en-suite bathroom' was cold - and only had a shower (shouldn't that be 'en-suite shower room') and when we asked for the... more

We stayed here for three nights a few years ago. We liked it so much that this year we are going back in September to celebrate my sister's birthday. We have traveled all over Europe and stayed at other "luxury boutique" hotels, but the De Witte shines above all of the others. The De Witte Lelie is a splurge, but... more
