This is my third stay here. It is the first time I noticed a corner of the tiny lobby dedicated to listing of gay friendly hotels around the world. The location as everyone writes is its main attraction. This is a two star type of place in need of a renovation. My room door would not lock, but it had... more

The Hotel Villa Mozart may not be as plush as some Best Westerns, but the location more than made up for it. Our room overlooked the cathedral, and it was so easy to walk to the main sites - the Grote Markt, down to the river etc. As we were only there for one night, this was important to us.... more

Apparantly everybody agrees that this hotel has a great location. Recently there must have been some major maintenance since in my room an in all public areas, the hotel was in very good shape. The staff are very friendly though perhaps for some people to informal. more

Can't beat this location. Couldn't be more centrally located. View of the cathedral from the bedroom window. Parked the car one block away, not a problem. The cathedral chimes were not at all a problem, as some other posters here have claimed. Rather charming, in my opinion, and not at all too loud. More of a three-star hotel than a... more

Location - as everyone says. very nice - but that is all. No air-con, so rooms unbearably stuffy. Open the windows for air - too noisy to hear yourself speak or sleep until the revellers have gone home. Everything is shabby, dingy and grey. Very basic breakfast. Very difficult to drive to. There are much better hotels for this price. more

Don't listen to what people say about the bells just remember the location. This is just where you want to be in the city and the staff are friendly and interested. It is true that there are shabby places in the hotel and that not everything works in the room but the welcome and the price more than make up... more

PRO: I'd like to first start out that the location cannot be beat and the view from the room was LOVELY. You are in the middle of old town and fairly safe to walk around at night. Lots of restaurants to choose from. The bells were loud but very charming and you gradually get used to it. They will bring... more

The location of this hotel is quite something. The deafening frequent chimes from the cathedral a few feet away is more amusing than annoying. The problem with this hotel is you feel you’re living in the ‘before’ photo , prior to a demolition or complete re-fit. I don’t mind ‘worn’, ‘faded’ or a bit of ‘character’, I do object to... more

Would have given this hotel five stars for its location and the view of the cathedral and colorful market square. However our room was a shambles, with drapes hanging loose above the windows and dirty stained chaircovers. Everything about this hotel says "Clean me up because I deserve it!". Would we stay again, yes, probably because of the remarkable location... more
