Hotel Staten is about 12 minute's walk to the World Forum Congress Centre where I was attending a conference, very close to shops and restaurants and not far from tram and bus stops. I had a room on the street side and although the street is quite busy in the day it was quiet at night. A cafe below was... More

I stayed in this hotel for three nights. The neighbourhood is great. You can eat well and there's a bookshop and other coffee shops and gift places. The owners are helpful. Everything is clean, if a bit cramped. I had a nice conversation with fellow guests in the breakfast room. If I go back, I'll definitely stay there again.

This is a cosy and friendly establishment situated 4 or 5 km north-west from The Hague Central Station, easily reached by tram or bus. It's in the museum quarter and therefore very close to the likes of the Gemeentemuseum, which is well worth a visit. The area is pretty quiet, not much traffic noise, so a good night's sleep is... I found this hotel online from the Brussels train station after I found out there would be a train strike the next day and I wouldn't be able to leave the country to get to an important conference in Leiden, Netherlands. Unfortunately, there was a festival in Leiden and all the hotels were booked! I was exhausted and jet lagged... More

Small hotel with big rooms in a great location in Den Haag. Owners are super friendly. We loved the location, great area of town with easy access to transit. The park across the street was great for our 4 year old. Our room had private bath, something needs to be down with the shower room. After a shower, the bathroom's... More

Don't expect modern, glass and chrome, pool and lobby because this a normal European middle-of-the-road hotel without those kinds of amenities that suited our needs very well. Clean, well-located with friendly hosts. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Steep stairs so guests must be mobile.

I've stayed here 2 times and both times for just one night. It's a pretty decent hotel though a bit outdated. The owners are lovely though and their great humor and the service make up for the slightly corny interior. Rooms are quite spacious though having to walk the stairs was a bit crappy since I'm not that mobile.

The owners of this hotel make you feel welcome and comfortable immediately. They are a genuinely friendly and helpful couple. For a hotel in this price range, service is far better and more attentive than expected. The location is very good, with a choice of cafes, restaurants and shops all around. An easy walk to public transport will get you... More

I often choose not to stay at the typical conference hotel and my visit to the World Forum this week was one of them. I can highly recommend the family run Staten. At 57Euros per night it was very good value for money. The room was quite small, but perfectly large enough for me as I spent little time in... More
