If you don't know what the words in the title mean, you will soon learn their true definition at this stellar hotel. The hotel is absolutely stunning and architecturally mind-blowing. The girl who checked us in was not thrilling or engaging which was really the only sore spot. However, we soon got to know many of the other personalities at... More

You stay at the Hotel des Indes because you want the character and the atmosphere. The location is great just on the edge of the old centre of the city. Inside the hotel is old world style. My room was fine - a bit small but comfortable and clean. An unusual number of lycra clad Americans on cycling trips to... More

We had booked for 2nights at the den hague seeing all the good reviews of the hotel. We kept looking for good deals and finally found a weekend price.we went directly from the airport and were excited to get to the hotel we had read so much about, only to be bumped. They told us they were overbooked and we were to... This smallish luxury hotel is a true stand out from the usually generic offering in secondary cities... It reminds visitors that The Hague used to be Holland's capital city, and this was, and still is, its best hotel. Restaurant is good too, and if you can't stay at hotel, at least you can visit the restaurant allowing to witness the... More

I've had the pleasure of staying here twice so far and have loved this hotel on both occasions. Luxury starts after you check in. I have to say, in general the check-in process and checking out process could be made speedier. Unfortunately, they have a maximum of 3 people (maximum) who can assist with the check-in/out process and only 4... More

It was our last stop before departing back to the States. The Hague is very close to Amsterdam airport, so we spend our last day at The Hague. First, we should give hotel owners full credit for going bold on interior and exterior design. Bold and bright colors outside, in common areas and in the rooms. It is really unusual,... More

When you are in Den Haag, you should stay in the Hotel des Indes. a classic Palace, baroc, red velvet, demped lights , not so practical but you need to go there for the atmosphere. Location is perfect and service is excellent. The coctailmenu is outstanding and the high tea is an experience on itself.

For our two day stay in The Hague the location of Hotel Des Indes has to be a key selling point - around a ten minute walk from the central train station it’s also on a beautiful square and surrounded by lovely streets of restaurants and bars. If you’re looking to explore the centre of the city then it has... More

Dear Steve, How wonderful it is to read your kind and elaborate review. Thank you for your stay and taking the time to post it online. The period you have visited Hotel Des Indes was indeed in a weekend that the city of The Hague had organized multiple events. Open Monumentendag –Heritage Day - hence the historical museum of Hotel... More

Hotel has dramatic decor and old world feel, like 1950's. Bed and linens very luxurious but on a loft up a steep staircase. Made late night trips to the loo an adventure. TV very small and windows Loki across narrow streets to neighbors. Breakfast not worth it. Dramatic bathroom and nice tea service.

Dear Clementine, Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay with us. We are sorry to read that your stay has not been as you had expected it to be. Hotel Des Indes is a monumental building and therefore size and layout in rooms differ. We like to see this as the charm of Hotel Des Indes. Please note that... More
