We had the pleasure of staying at the Paleis Hotel for 3 nights this July, and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The Hotel is perfectly situated in the city centre, walking distance to palaces, parliament house, parks, restaurants, shopping and great public transport to Madurodam, Scheveningen etc. We certainly recommend staying at the Paleis and will definitely stay there on... Arrival: Welcome greet by young gentlemen (Floris). I believe he is the most helpful hotel receptionist that I have ever met in the past 15 years of travelling. I think he is multi-ligual too (Dutch, English, French etc ) Check-in: The receptionist (Floris) was very helpful and attentive. Cheerful smile and great patience with all my questions about my stay... More

The Paleis Hotel is perfectly situated in the city centre, the perfect spot to explore this enjoyable city. The shopping area is just around the corner, most of the cultural and architectural hotspots are within walking distance. Furthermore, you can rely on the public transport (use a day pass) to reach more distant places or the beach area. Our room... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel, based on the recommendations on Trip Advisor, for 3 nights and we had a comfortable stay. The location of the hotel is very good, our room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were very nice. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. If anything, I think we felt the hotel was... Family of 4 spent 1 night at this beautiful and period boutique hotel. We unfortunately had to leave early in the morning so did not have breakfast but smelt delightful aromas from the breakfast room. We were courteously greeted by Bas, the receptionist, who was polite and very helpful from the start and went so far as to call us... More

We had room 206 which overlooked the street. As has been commented on previously, some street noise can be pervasive if windows are left open. However , room was fine and the staff- students ,apparently, really are customer focussed . Hotel is central and without doubt we d stay again

The Paleis is a small, traditional style hotel in the historic part of town bordered by pedestrian streets with restaurants and a peaceful back yard. If you are lucky to receive a room in the back you can expect quiet nights for most of the week. If your windows open to the street you will not sleep much unless you... More

Beautiful hotel with friendly and reliable staff. Perfectly located in heart of city. Nicely décorated and good breakfast. We only regret the noise from the people sitting down at the terrasse after midnight, we could not sleep until they stopped.

We greatly enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Paleis. We were always greeted pleasantly by the Receptionists who responded enthusiastically to our requests for information or assistance. We had requested in advance a quiet room and that is exactly what the hotel provided. The location was ideal providing access to all the sights we had come to see. Anyone traveling... More

With one exception, if you are a tourist, there is little reason to visit The Hague. It is mainly a place for politics (the Dutch Parliament) and business (e.g. Shell). The exception is, of course, the Mauritshuis, surely one of the great art galleries of the World, with its unrivalled collection of Dutch Masters. The Hague is also convenient for... More
