Given the nature if the organization I was travelling with and who set up the hotel for our meetings and accommodation, I was shocked to see the place. The rooms are utilitarian...luxury they are not. They have most of the basics including circa 1980 phones, somewhat stained carpets, any array of different temperature controls none of which seemd to work,... More

Arrived to find I'd been put into a suite instead of a room - very nice and fine by me. On my third night after working all evening, I decided to eat at the hotel. I went to the restaurant and was greeted by a grumpy old man who reluctantly gave me a table - I assumed the restaurant was... More

The hotel is very clean and nice. Recently they started also offering free Wi-Fi in the rooms (instead of only in the lobby which was a drag) and this clearly improves the stay. Just don't eat at the hotel (room service or in the restaurant) - it is a total rip-off. I ordered (room service) a beef carpaccio and I... More

I informed the hotel about my late arrival and I had a guranteed booking with high cancellation fees. When arriving at midnight the hotel was fully booked, lame apologies (never happened in 20 years....whoever believes it...), then being transferred to a worse hotel, the next day a cheap bottle of wine as an excuse and an upgrade which didn't help... I only stayed at this hotel for one night and I have to say it was what I would expect. Staff were very helpful but not over bearing. Good wireless is about all I can say for this remarkably average hotel. "Good Grief" would be a better title. At night while working away on my laptop I could hear this awful high pitched whistling, I suspect this was either the air-con or that noise you can hear when someone is running a tap running down stairs, but it...
