The Maritime Hotel (Zeemanshuis) is right on the banks of the River Maas in Central Rotterdam. If you love ships, this is the place for you. It's comfortable, convenient and inexpensive for the Single traveller. Barges and tugs pass by, all day long. Coasters are quite frequently to be seen. In Summer, there's every chance of a Cruise Liner berthing... More

I stayed for 7 days late July 2014 - and agree with others: perfectly adequate for a couple of nights, and I felt safe as a lone traveller. If staying longer than a couple of days, I'd pay extra somewhere else for the extras: more room in rooms, a fridge, wider variety for breakfast (and beyond 9:30am weekdays), and less... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night in June 2014 and was quite happy with my stay. For the price you can't expect a lot more. The location is excellent being only a short walk into the city centre. The hotel is also a seaman's mission so has facilities for sailors as well as a small room for religious... More

I stayed there for 2 days in June 14. The location is good, tram stop is just outside the hotel and if you step outside the hotel you will find the river and Erasmus bridge. One other good thing is it's fairly clean. It's not a luxury or high end hotel by any means, you get what you pay for... More

I would like to say that this is a clean and basic hotel but the location gives it a 5 star. The staff is very friendly , they offer free wifi and breakfast has good selection. But once you step out from the hotel you can have a excellent view during night time and almost all the modes of commuting... More

The placement of the hotel is ideal, at night or daytime the view when you go out of the hotel leaves you breathless, the reception staff was more than helpful and polite. I felt good seeing so many multithnic people, that is a sign of modern management. With the rooms you have to be lucky or to book one with... More

The hotel is basic, yet clean. The staff is very friendly and nice, breakfast good (caters also for Asian tourists and has small selection of Asian breakfast staples). Tram is on a doorstep, so is waterbus and Spido boats. On the minus side. Rooms are small and beds are narrow. And it can be loud if you keep the window... More

The hotel has a good location with great views of the river from rooms on the higher floors. Rooms are very basic (and we had a deluxe one!) but have a comfortable bed and are clean. There is a cosy bar downstairs. The restaurant serves 13 options for dinner named menu 1, menu 2 etc..... Each menu has the same... More

Stayed for 3 nights middle May. Location is very nice with a beautiful view of the Erasmus bridge. Hotel décor is dated (tired). Staff very friendly and helpful. The single room is small but sufficient. Once again everything is dated. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Bar is a very nice place to have a drink at night with visitors from all... More

Very basic but clean. I used it as a base to see a concert at the Ahoy stadium. The metro station is walking distance. Staff were efficient. Had a view of the river. Maybe Rotterdam is just not a good place to be but I tried walking around between the main train station and the hotel and didn't find much... More
