I stayed at this hotel in June of 2008 for the rate of 110 EUR per night. The room was OK but had some problems with one of the members of the staff. We contacted the hotel very far in advance to see if pets were OK, we were told no problem. After being in the hotel for a few... more

This hotel was the least expensive one advertised for the conference i attended at De Doelen. I was very impressed with the proximity to the conference center as well as various restaurants and attractions. The tram was three blocks away. The river was a 10 minute walk. The room was better than i expected. The street was very quiet. I... more

The staff at this hotel is the nightmare of customer service. They avoid answering your demands by placing blame on the guest and giving the excuse of being "very busy". I would not recommend this to anyone. After trying to make a reservation online and not hearing from the hotel, we made other arrangements, only to find out later that... more

A traditional, small hotel in a nice area of Rotterdam. I had no problems. Rooms were in a traditional style, clean and with a decent shower. Mine had a balcony looking over the garden. Breakfast consisted of boiled egg, cereal, ham and cheese, bread - taken in a bright conservatory. There is also a bar and they serve evening meals... more

The staff (Henny) was very responsive and courteous. I was accidently charged and refunded as quickly as possible. more

This hotel has traditional decor which is well looked after. Nice gardens too. We had a family room (for the 2 of us) and it was a good-sized room. The tiled bathroom was well set out and nice and clean. Other good features - helpful friendly staff helped us with where to find places to eat etc, the location, sumptious... more

A decent enough small hotel, but for the fact the proprietor smokes those little cigars all day (and probably has done so for years) and so the smell of cigars permeates the rooms, even rooms he has probably never entered! On the plus side, it was a great value for a Rotterdam hotel during the North Sea Jazz Festival --... more

The Breitner was a very nice hotel, in an ideal location, and I'd certainly stay here again. The hotel is located in a fairly bustling area, close to Rotterdam University, but it's hidden away in a quiet sidestreet and the rooms are therefore brilliantly quiet at night. Walking to the Central train station takes around 20 minutes and the whole... more

The Breitner is a short walk (15 min) from Central Station, or take Tram 4 with a stop round the corner. One of the best points about this hotel is that it is quiet! I've stayed in a few hotels in Rotterdam and most are alongside busy roads, this one is in a residential side street. Rooms are spacious for... more
