We stayed for 2 nights in Hotel Emma - the location was right on the metro/tram and within walking distance of too many things to mention. We were going to the Doolen for a music festival which was only a 10 min walk away. The room and bed were very comfortable and pretty quiet for the central location.

Little did I know when I booked this hotel how close it was to things that interest me like bars, record stores and restaurants. Nieuwe Binnenweg has tons of stuff on it as does the street across the road and Witte de Withstraat just a short walk away. Front desk people were super nice, the room and bathroom were fine,... This is a good hotel. Clean bed linen and well stocked bathroom. The location is very central but it is not noisy as there is double glazing. What stops it from being excellent is the tired decor and furnishings. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. The triple room only had a small window but there... More

The staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Location is perfect for the city centre or for getting on the metro. A basic breakfast but the ingredients are all fresh. In fact, I think they had the nicest bread I tasted in Rotterdam. Also supply cereals, yoghurt, boiled eggs, fruit and pastries. Plus a good coffee machine make this a great... More

I spent 4.5 days at the Hotel Emma last week. I stayed in the cheapest of their rooms. Although it was half the price of most other hotels, it included a private bath, breakfast and wifi. The bed was just great, and the linens were crisp and comfy. It's owner-operated, and not part of a chain. The upside is that... More

The hotel is nice and clean. We had a room with two single beds, a smallish TV, fridge, and a small shower\toilet. There is a reasonable breakfast, though more fruits and vegetables would be nice. The hotel also has a balcony with sofas and tables, where it's nice to spend a few hours if the weather is nice. The staff... More

I stayed at the Emma hotel for a business purpose last week. I can only recommend the place wich has an excellent price/service ratio, with very friendly and helpful staff, nice, comfortable and clean rooms and a beautiful breakfast. And the situation is right in the heart of the city.

Hotel Emma is in a wonderful location with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants in walking distance. The street below is quite noisy at the weekend but I always travel with ear plugs so it didn't bother me. We were on the top floor which was handy for the lovely sunny roof terrace. One night there were people partying with... More

I stay at 4 star hotels but was booked in here by the university. So much nicer than staying in a bland chain. Short walk from central station and cafés and main shopping strip. Close to metro and trams. That aside: WONDERFUL STAFF. Friendly, helpful, charming - really doing their all. Great breakfast in a beautiful room. My room was... More
