Johan who run's the B&B takes such pride in to this B&B and it is so obvious with the attention to detail. Breakfast is typical Dutch and is delicious. Johan makes you feel very welcome and very accommodating. The B&B itself is approximately half an hour's walk from the town centre. Thanks for a great stay Johan!

Booked this B&B for myself and my wife on the strength of previous reviews and not disappointed. Johan is the perfect host, rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable with breakfast different every day. Great little touches everywhere through the b&b with free wi-fi and ensuite bathrooms. Why anyone would want to stay at a soulless big hotel is beyond me!... More

This is truly a great b&b in a quiet place in Rotterdam. I stayed one week in one room and after a month traveling in Europe I came back to Johan b&b for another 5 days and stayed in the other room. Both rooms are super great and quiet with private shower and toilet, Wifi and TV. The house is... More

het Hemelrijck is indeed a hidden gem, I stayed there for two nights and truly enjoyed. Johan makes the B&B in colorful, cheerful and cosy atmosphere, I felt like staying at a friend's home rather than any else. Johan knows the difference between home and house, has been devoting himself to make it as a home for every guest. Thanks... More

What a great idea we had to go to hemelrijck b&b!!! We spent 3 nights there and really felt like home. The room was so well decorated, the breakfast was fresh and delicious, and last but not least the owner is truly kind and helpful. So many little details make your stay unique and unforgettable. Also, the area is nice... More

This B&B is a hidden gem - with beautiful interiors, character and an equally fabulous host - Johan - who cannot do enough for his guests. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet residential part of the city - but just 15mins walk from the train station in the centre. The room was up some very narrow winding steps... More

We booked four nights at Het Hemelrijck and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes and shown to one of the two simply and elegantly decorated rooms (the stairs are quite steep, but it all adds to the charm). Johan is a wonderful host, who not only provided us with a splendid breakfast... More

Our host Johan is the nicest person we found during this trip and his B & B is delightful in all senses, from the well furnished and comfortable rooms to the perfect breakfast prepared specially by him every morning. The B & B also has 2 bicycles for rent, which we used to explore Rotterdam. At night, while we were... More

This was our first visit to Rotterdam so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We booked a couple of nights at het Hemelrijck on the strength of the previous reviews and were not disappointed. The B&B was immaculate, the room was extremely comfortable, and the breakfasts were freshly prepared and delicious. Everything was taken care of by our host... More
