The location is fairly quite, away from the main centre of Leiden, ideal if you have your own car or bicycle..can be noisy on the weekends, a football field adjacent, you might also have trouble getting a park because of all the spectators watching football. My wife and myself stayed there for a total of about 4 weeks in April & May in 2009. If you have a car thats great because you will need one to get to anywhere else in Leiden from the Hotel. The parking is free but on the busy weekend you might have to park your car away from the... more
This is a pleasant hotel, no problems at all. It is not too great if you don't have a car though. Walk along busy highways, across a bridge. more
Seeing as the Netherlands is a popular tourist spot and Amsterdam was booked up, my husband and I considered ourselves lucky to find weekend accommodation here. I stayed at this hotel between March 2006 and June 2006 whilist on business in Voorschoten. Voorschoten itself is a sleepy little place, so for a little more nightlife, catch the 45 bus to Leiden (10 minute trip - costs 1 Euro after 9am). The Hotel itself has recently had an external refurbishment. Inside, it is clean and well furnished.... more
