This is a unique conversion of a water tower and pump house into a hotel and restaurant. It is stunning situated on the water's edge with elegant gardens and attention to every detail. We stayed in room 2 with a view to die for over the formal garden out towards the water. The bed was without doubt the most comfortable... More

We stayed in Villa Augustus in February and loved the whole experience. The beds in the family room where very spacious and comfortable. The top bunk is more of a separate level and not directly attached to the bottom bed, any movement in the top does not hinder the sleepers in the bottom bed and vice versa. Also big enough... More

We spent one night in one of the tower rooms at Villa Augustus, and really enjoyed it! The building is beautiful as is the way it was made into a hotel. Loved details such as the original floor and unique furniture. The bed was comfy and the bathroom clean. We had both breakfast and dinner in the Augustus restaurant, and... More

The hotel and restaurant seemed like the most well managed organization possible. All the staff seemed to be working diligently on a wide variety of tasks, but I saw no sign of anyone "managing" anyone. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The room, like the public spaces, was eclecticly decorated using a lot of apparently... More

Superb bed linen in giant beds Excellent and helpful staff. Bikes to rent which are so useful for getting around. Fabulous food in the on site restaurant. They use ingredients from the garden. The garden is just fantastic. You will not be disappointed.

Villa Augustus is a totally unique and wonderful experience, from the fantastic conversion of an old water tower and pumping station to the gardens to the restaurant and cafe and the food! The accomodation is wonderful and quirky as the Dutch can do. The staff are super friendly and the service is great. Fresh produce from the gardens is expertly... More

I did not stay at Villa Augustus - but ate lunch at their restaurant. First, the place is fully organic and uses locally sourced products - big plus in my book. I went with friends from Dordrecht. Their famili has two young kids (1 and 4 years). The restaurant did a nice job catering to the kids. My orange juice... More

We stayed for one night on the way to the ferry, but wished it could have been longer. The rooms are individually designed, the reception area and restaurant are eclectically furnished, and it's as far from corporate as you could get. Our room on the top floor had amazing views of the wonderful garden. The dinner was pretty good, too,... More

I spent my fouth stay in this hotel, it is still brilliant. Well it is kind of design, and old stuff furniture is mixed into the room which I like - and feel good right away. There is this very good restaurant across the garden where your breakfest very very healty and fresh green stuff - but do yourself a... More

Villa Augustus demonstrates how you can breathe life into an old building and convert it into something memorable. We stayed one night and had a room on the fifth floor with views over the gardens and water. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a really good bed. We had dinner and breakfast both of which were excellent. The... More
