Nice breakfast, nice view on the Plataan itself, rooms could be a little more of this century. The remote of the tv was on a chain, very small bed. I like the way the hotel tries to be eco-friendly, but I think the comfort level could be a little higher to enjoy your stay more.

If you're looking for something that isn't whitewashed, then you'll have found it if you come to Hotel de Plataan. The room I stayed in had an outdoors theme and life-sized model of a cow on the balcony. Lovely place with lovel ambience and close to restaurants, etc.

Stayed here 2 nights with a ETBD tour. Hotel is quirky but comfortable, clean, quiet and well run. We stayed in room 111 (Cherry Tree). After reading some trip advisor reviews on this hotel was not sure what to expect. But would not have a problem using the hotel again.

The website contains many nice pictures but unless you want to pay extra (35 euro !) the room you get is very basis... even youth hostel like plain room with beds that move up at both ends but when sleeping (= flat) they are quite uncomfortable and you wake up with a sore back.
