we visited hotel ouwi for 2 nights in june 2006 with my partner as most of amsterdam hotels were booked.Reachable by public transport or you can even walk to utrecht central station,it is quite a nice walk actually, will take you about 35 mins.Lots of stairs.Room was very narrow but still felt adequate, comfy beds and everything was clean.Breakfast was OK but...

Was in Utrecht for business and decided to go for a cheaper option as a test (and to save my company some ££$$). After reading some reviews I settled on Oorsprongpark and I'm glad I did.
LIKED:
The hotel was *spotlessly* clean. Give your cleaners a pay rise, Oorsprongpark!
I didn't so much as see a speck of dirt on...

This hotel is pretty well located between the trainstation and the university of Utrecht. The bus stop is close, but the hotel is quiet. The rooms are small and have no frills. Unfortunately, the rooms are a bit noisy, so you might hear your room neighbor talking on the phone. The rooms are equipped with a bed (pretty soft matress),...

I spent three nights in Utrecht, staying in the Oorsprongpark and quite liked it. Not for everyone, as it has very steep stairs to the rooms and no elevator, but it had everything I required: reliable wi-fi, a tv and ensuite bathroom.
It was a small room (I booked a single, as it was just myself), which is what I...

Stayed there for a week on a business trip, mainly just dropping in to sleep. The overall feeling is like you'd be visiting somebody's home, starting from the steep curving stairs to the breakfast room. The location is quite ok, but not perfect: walking to city center is 20min or 5min by a bus leaving almost next to the hotel....

I enjoyed my stay here, which was for about 10 nights. The location is pretty good - near some nice parks, away from any real traffic and noise, but equally quite far from anything else too. The Dom, the museums, the shops are a good 15mins walk away, but there is a small supermarket close by and the bus stop...

I actually used this quite a bit during 2004 as it was the cheapest hotel i could find without going into a hostel.
It's quite far out of town but the bus stop is nearby and the staff were usually quietly friendly and nicely mannered. I also liked the breakfast, not that I like Dutch breakfasts with their lunch-like cold...

I stayed here for one night only, and I think overall 85 euros per night was a rip off. The room was not small but had a strange shape, with two beds put together. Beds were not comfortable at all, and I felt like I would fall down from the bed each time I turned around. There were musquitoes as...

I stayed at the Hotel Oorsprongpark for two nights this month, disappointing since the reviews I had read here were very good. Ok, it's a two star hotel, but still, a single room is 95€ per night! Hair in the bathroom, and also in the bed when I arrived, yuck!!! Size of the room was ok, and having free wifi...
